Quantum hall effect on grassmann manifolds
Ballı, Fatih; Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin; Department of Physics (2014)
In this work we formulate Quantum Hall E ect(QHE) on Grassmann manifolds Gr2(CN). We, rst give a self-contained reviews of integer QHE on R2, S2 CP1 and CP2 which are oriented towards our purposes. Then, we set up the Landau problem on Gr2(CN) and discuss and formulate the wave functions, energy levels, degeneracy, incompressibility and spatial density properties. Group theoretical techniques are used to explore these properties for both abelian and non-abelian backgrounds and the wave functions are expr...
Painleve classification of coupled Korteweg-de Vries systems
Karasu, Emine Ayşe (1997-07-01)
In this work, we give a classification of coupled Korteweg-de Vries equations. We found new systems of equations that are completely integrable in the sense of Painleve. (C) 1997 American Institute of Physics.
TRACEMIN Fiedler A Parallel Algorithm for Computing the Fiedler Vector
Manguoğlu, Murat; Saied, Faisal; Sameh, Ahmed (null; 2010-06-25)
The eigenvector corresponding to the second smallest eigenvalue of the Laplacian of a graph, known as the Fiedler vector, has a number of applications in areas that include matrix reordering, graph partitioning, protein analysis, data mining, machine learning, and web search. The computation of the Fiedler vector has been regarded as an expensive process as it involves solving a large eigenvalue problem. We present a novel and efficient parallel algorithm for computing the Fiedler vector of large graphs bas...

Frobenius action on Carter subgroups
Ercan, Gülin (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2020-08-01)
Let G he a finite solvable group and H be a subgroup of Aut(G). Suppose that there exists an H-invariant Carter subgroup F of G such that the semidirect product FH is a Frobenius group with kernel F and complement H. We prove that the terms of the Fitting series of C-G (H) are obtained as the intersection of C-G (H) with the corresponding terms of the Fitting series of G, and the Fitting height of G may exceed the Fitting height of C-G (H) by at most one. As a corollary it is shown that for any set of prime...
