Galois structure of modular forms of even weight
Gurel, E. (Elsevier BV, 2009-10-01)
We calculate the equivariant Euler characteristics of powers of the canonical sheaf on certain modular curves over Z which have a tame action of a finite abelian group. As a consequence, we obtain information on the Galois module structure of modular forms of even weight having Fourier coefficients in certain ideals of rings of cyclotomic algebraic integers. Quantum systems and representation theorem
Dosi, Anar (2013-09-01)
In this paper we investigate quantum systems which are locally convex versions of abstract operator systems. Our approach is based on the duality theory for unital quantum cones. We prove the unital bipolar theorem and provide a representation theorem for a quantum system being represented as a quantum -system.
Quantum Information Approach to Correlations in Many-body Systems
Aksak, Çağan; Turgut, Sadi; Department of Physics (2022-9-21)
Quantum correlations are crucial features in both quantum information theory and many-body physics. Characterization and quantification of quantum correlations have delivered a rich body of work and helped to understand some quantum phenomena. Entanglement is a unique quantum correlation for which it is a resource in many quantum information tasks. Developed for quantification of entanglement, entanglement witness formalism is a remarkable tool in the quantum information toolkit. It can be deployed beyond t...
Elliptic curves and use of their endomorphism rings in cryptography
Sülçe, Ali Mert; Akyıldız, Ersan; Department of Cryptography (2019)
Although elliptic curves have been studied for hundreds of years, the inception of elliptic curve cryptography is 1985 by Koblitz’s and Miller’s independent proposals that is based on the discrete logarithm problem on an elliptic curve defined over a finite field. After that date, there are a lot of advances and studies in elliptic curve cryptography(ECC) which provide high security with relatively small block sizes and high speed compared to the other public key cryptosystems. For instance, 160-bit ellipti...
