Im März 2020 wurden infolge der Corona-Pandemie die Universitäten in der Türkei geschlossen. Die Umstellung auf digitalen Fernunterricht stellte sowohl Lernende als auch Lehrende vor große Herausforderungen. In diesem Beitrag wird über Befunde einer Befragung zu Einstellungen in Bezug auf den digitalen DaF-Unterricht berichtet. In der Befragung wurden Studierende der Middle East Technical University, die Deutsch als Fremdsprache lernen, zu Motivation, Wirksamkeit und Vor- und Nachteilen von Online-DaF-Unterricht befragt. Die Ergebnisse benennen verschiedene Vor- und Nachteile des digitalen DaF-Unterrichts und verweisen auf einen Anstieg der aufgewendeten Arbeitszeit sowie eine erhöhte psychische Belastung, die durch die Corona-Pandemie hervorgerufen wurde. Aus der Befragung lassen sich Einflussfaktoren für einen gelungenen virtuellen DaF-Unterricht ableiten.
