Methods: In this retrospective cohort (Class II-2) analysis, all patients who underwent RLM and LM by a single expertise surgical team from January 1st, 2018 to March 31st, 2020 were identified. The patients' characteristics, operative data, and post-operative outcomes were collected and statistically analyzed. Results: A total of 118 patients with an indication of myomectomy were included, 39 of whom underwent RLM, while 79 underwent LM. There were no significant differences among the groups in demographic characteristics (p > 0.05). RLM was associated with lower estimated blood loss (55.00 ± 39.11 mL vs. 110.80 ± 74.72 mL, respectively, p 0.05). Conclusions: Although RLM was associated with significantly less blood loss, this difference did not entail clinical implications. In general, both methods demonstrated similar clinical outcomes. For cost effectiveness, LM appears to outperform RLM, particularly in experienced hands.

An Eye Tracking Based Investigation of Multimedia Learning Design in Science Education Textbooks
Altan, Tugba; Çağıltay, Kürşat (2022-01-01)
© 2022. Educational Technology and Society. All Rights Reserved. This study investigated the effects of multimedia learning and visual design in a 6th grade science textbook on students’ studying processes. This was accomplished by using eye tracking technology and by applying multimedia learning design and visual design principles to science textbooks. Eye tracking based testing was employed to evaluate the effects of multimedia learning and visual design principles on students’ studying process as they int...
Unpredictable Solutions of Impulsive Quasi-Linear Systems
Akhmet, Marat; Tleubergenova, Madina; Nugayeva, Zakhira (2022-01-01)
© 2022. L&H Scientific Publishing, LLC. All Rights Reserved. The impulsive differential equations with unpredictable perturbations are under investigation. The definition of the discontinuous unpredictable function with the discrete unpredictable set of discontinuity moments is introduced. The existence and uniqueness of asymptotically stable discontinuous unpredictable solutions for quasi linear systems are proved. Examples with simulations are given to illustrate the results.
Evaluation of toolkits for visualizing information about performance of earthwork activities on a construction job site

© 2018 Esprit. All rights reserved.Project team members interact with large multivariate datasets while monitoring the performance of construction projects. The analyses of such datasets are traditionally performed with statistical methods and usage of 2D graphics with x-y coordinates. However, these methods are disadvantageous compared to multi-dimensional information visualization, which can provide patterns of unprocessed data in a more descriptive and clear way. In order to provide support for visualiza...

© 2022 Lippincott Williams and Wilkins. All rights reserved. Background: Growing rods (GRs) is a commonly utilized technique for the management of early-onset scoliosis. The significance of the position of the apical vertebrae relative to the rods is not known. The purpose of this study is to analyze the potential effects of the position of the apical vertebrae in relation to the GRs on deformity control through plain radiographs and finite element analysis (FEA) modeling. Methods: We identified 140 patients...
