Forward-backward domain decomposition method for finite element solution of electromagnetic boundary value problems
Ozgun, Ozlem; Kuzuoğlu, Mustafa (Wiley, 2007-10-01)
We introduce the forward-backward domain decomposition method (FB-DDM), which is basically an improved version of the classical alternating Schwarz method with overlapping subdomains, for electromagnetic, boundary value problems. The proposed method is non-iterative in some cases involving smooth geometries, or it usually converges in a few iterations in other cases involving challenging geometries, via the utilization of the locally-conformal PML method. We report some numerical results for two- dimensional...
Linear optical deterministic and reconfigurable SWAP gate
Bozkurt, Alkim B.; Kocaman, Serdar (2021-09-01)
We propose a deterministic SWAP gate for dual-rail-encoded single photon qubits. The gate is constructed from waveguide crossings, Mach-Zehnder interferometers and phase shifters which provide the gate reconfigurability. Through manipulating the phase of the phase shifters, we can apply either the SWAP or identity gates. As an essential element of nearest neighbor qubit networks, the SWAP gate has a simple structure and presents minimal overhead. Providing an efficient solution to the geometric restrictions...
Exact Pseudospin Symmetric Solution of the Dirac Equation for Pseudoharmonic Potential in the Presence of Tensor Potential
AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2010-04-01)
Under the pseudospin symmetry, we obtain exact solution of the Dirac equation for the pseudoharmonic potential in the presence of the tensor potential with arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number kappa. The energy eigenvalue equation of the Dirac particles is found and the corresponding radial wave functions are presented in terms of confluent hypergeometric functions. We investigate the tensor potential dependence of the energy of the each state in the pseudospin doublet. It is shown that degeneracy b...
Magnetic dipole moment of the light tensor mesons in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (IOP Publishing, 2010-07-01)
The magnetic dipole moments of the light tensor mesons f(2), a(2) and the strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. It is observed that the values of the magnetic dipole moment for the charged tensor particles are considerably different from zero. These values are very close to zero for the light neutral f(2) and a(2) tensor mesons, while it has a small nonzero value for the neutral strange K-2*(0)(1430) tensor meson.
Pseudospin and spin symmetry in the Dirac equation with Woods-Saxon potential and tensor potential
AYDOĞDU, OKTAY; Sever, Ramazan (2010-01-01)
The Dirac equation is solved approximately for the Woods-Saxon potential and a tensor potential with the arbitrary spin-orbit coupling quantum number kappa under pseudospin and spin symmetry. The energy eigenvalues and the Dirac spinors are obtained in terms of hypergeometric functions. The energy eigenvalues are calculated numerically.
