The aim of this study was to investigate 9(th) grade students' difficulties and errors on operations, ordering numbers, solving equations and inequalities. The data were gathered by the questionnaire containing 10 open ended questions: The answers of the students were categorized according to 0-3 point's schema. The results revealed that participants made many errors in arithmetic operations, in using distributive laws, and in solving equation and inequalities. Further, the detailed analysis of students' responses revealed that students have many difficulties about constructing number sense, ordering rational or irrational numbers, and finding the solution of multi-inequalities.
