SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF POLY(DICHLOROPHENYLENE OXIDE)S BASED ON THE ELECTROOXIDATION OF BIS(2,4,6-TRICHLOROPHENOXO)BIS(PYRIDINE)COPPER(II) COMPLEX
SEN, S; KISAKUREK, D (Elsevier BV, 1993-01-01)
Electroinitiated polymerization of bis(2,4,6-trichlorophenoxo)bis(pyridine)copper(II) complex was achieved in dimethylformamide by constant potential electrolysis under air and N2. The polymers obtained at several potentials were characterized by H-1 n.m.r., C-13 n.m.r., FTi.r. and d.s.c., and were found to be branched. The kinetics of the polymerization were followed by in situ cyclic voltammetry measurements at 13.5 and 20-degrees-C during electrolysis. As found for the thermal polymerization of this comp...
Synthesis of Fluorene-Type Thin Film Under Biphenyl/Methane Plasma Environment
Mansuroğlu, Doğan; Manolache, Sorin (2015-10-01)
Fluorene-type (C13H10) thin films were synthesized by using the mixture of biphenyl (C12H10) and methane (CH4) plasma. The reactor is a parallel plate installation; upper electrode is connected to 13.56MHz rf power and lower electrode is grounded. The thin films were deposited by applying a negative bias potential between the substrate and the wall of reactor. The films were investigated by residual gas analysis (RGA), UV-vis spectroscopy, atomic force microscope (AFM) and ellipsometry. They had significant...
Preparation of BaxSr1-xTiO3 thin films by chemical solution deposition and their electrical characterization
Adem, Umut; Özenbaş, Ahmet Macit; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2003)
In this study, barium strontium titanate (BST) thin films with different compositions (Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3, Ba0.8Sr0.2TiO3, Ba0.7Sr0.3TiO3, Ba0.5Sr0.5TiO3) were produced by chemical solution deposition technique. BST solutions were prepared by dissolving barium acetate, strontium acetate and titanium isopropoxide in acetic acid and adding ethylene glycol as a chelating agent and stabilizer to this solution, at molar ratio of acetic acid/ethylene glycol, 3:1. The solution was then coated on Si and Pt//Ti/SiO2/Si ...
Synthesis, characterization and electrochromic properties of a conducting copolymer of pyrrole functionalized polystyrene with pyrrole
Tarkuc, S; Sahin, E; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Colak, D; Cianga, I; Yagci, Y (Elsevier BV, 2006-03-08)
A well-defined polystyrene (PSt) based polymer containing at one end-chain 3.5-dibromobenzene moiety. prepared by atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP), was modified in two reaction steps. First one constitutes a Suzuki coupling reaction between aromatic dibromine functional polymer and 3-aminophenylboronic acid, when a diamino-containing intermediate was obtained. The second step is a condensation reaction between the diamino functional polystyrene and 2-pyrrole alclehyde. Thus, a polymer containing ...
Synthesis and characterization of alternating copolymers of thiophene-containing N-phenyl maleimide and styrene by photoinduced radical polymerization and their use in electropolymerization
Yilmaz, F; Cianga, L; Guner, Y; Topppare, L; Yagci, Y (Elsevier BV, 2004-08-05)
A novel N-(4-(3-thienyl methylene)-oxycarbonylphenyl) maleimide (MBThi) monomer was synthesized by the esterification reaction of maleimidobenzoic acid (MBA) with 3-thiophene methanol. Photoinduced radical polymerization was employed to prepare the alternating copolymers of MBThi with styrene (St) at room temperature using omega,omega-dimethoxy-omega-phenylacetophenone (DMPA) as photoinitiator. Different copolymerization conditions were examined to estimate the influence of the used solvents and comonomers'...
