Developing a trilayer processing technique for superconducting YBa2Cu3O7-delta thin films by using Ge ion implantation
Avci, I; Tepe, M; Oktem, B; Serincan, U; Turan, Raşit; Abukay, D (IOP Publishing, 2005-04-01)
For making trilayer superconducting devices based on YBa2Cu3O7-delta (YBCO) thin film processing, we developed a new technique by employing Ge ion implantation. A YBCO thin film of 150 nm thickness having high c-axis orientation and a transition temperature, T, of 90 K was implanted with 80 keV, 1 x 10(16) Ge ions cm(-2) at room temperature. By the result of TRIM calculation, Ge ions were found to penetrate into the YBCO thin film approximately 60 nm below the surface of the film, thus leaving the lower par...
Development of a prediction model using fully connected neural networks in the analysis of composite structures under bird strike
Hasilci, Zehra; BOĞOÇLU, Muharrem Erdem; DALKILIÇ, Ahmet Selim; Kayran, Altan (2022-02-01)
Bird strike is one of the most hazardous issues facing global aviation. In the present study, a hybrid methodology is developed utilizing, automated data generation and fully connected neural networks to practically and reliably obtain the global deformation of composite structures subject to bird strike. The validation of the proposed numerical bird strike model is accomplished by making comparisons with the available experimental data from three different resources in the literature on the chicken and gel...
Developing a four-bar mechanism synthesis program in cad environment
Erener, Kaan; Söylemez, Eres; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2011)
Flap, aileron, rudder, elevator, speed brake, stick, landing gear and similar movable systems used in aerospace industry have to operate according to the defined requirements and mechanisms used in those systems have to be synthesized in order to fulfill those requirements. Generally, without the use of synthesis tools, synthesis of mechanisms are done in CAD environment by trial-error and geometrical methods due to the complexity of analytical procedures. However, this approach is time consuming since it h...
