Design and Implementation of an Encapsulated GaN X-Band Power Amplifier Family
Memioğlu, Onur; Karakuzulu, Alper; Gündel, Adnan; Koçer, Fatih; Aydın Çivi, Hatice Özlem (2018-11-19)
This paper describes the design and verification results of two wideband class AB High Power Amplifiers (PA), encapsulated in commercial packages. Both amplifiers designed on WIN Semiconductors' 0.25 mu m GaN on SiC technology. The selected GaN process features compact common-source (CS) transistor layouts with individual source grounding vias. The family spans the whole X-band frequency with the first design tuned between 7-11 GHz and the second design tuned between 10-12 GHz. Both designs have saturated p...
Design and simulation of an ABS for an integrated active safety system for road vehicles
Sahin, Murat; Ünlüsoy, Yavuz Samim (2010-01-01)
A design methodology for an anti-lock braking system (ABS) controller for four-wheeled road vehicles is presented. In the study, a flexible approach was adopted considering integration with an integrated active safety system control structure. In the hierarchical control strategy proposed for the ABS controller, a high-level controller, through vehicle longitudinal acceleration-based estimation, determines reference wheel slip values, and a low-level controller attempts to track these reference slip signals...
Design and implementation of a multimodal transportation cost analysis model for domestic lignite supply in Turkey
Demir, Eylül Ceren; Karpuz, Celal; Demirel, Nuray (2012-11-01)
Transportation cost is the dominant cost and accounts for almost half of the total mining cost in surface mining. Therefore, determining transportation cost is critically important for the economic feasibility of mining projects. Turkey produces around 85 million tons of lignite per annum. The biggest state-owned company, Turkish Coal Enterprises (TKI), accounts for 43 per cent of the country's total lignite production. Around 85 per cent of the produced lignite is used in power plants for electricity gener...
Design of A Medium Range Tactical UAV and Improvement of Its Performance by Using Winglets
Turanoguz, Eren; Alemdaroglu, Nafiz (2015-06-12)
This paper presents the design, performance analysis and aerodynamic improvement of a designed medium range tactical unmanned aerial vehicle. Main requirements are set as following; cruising altitute above 3500m, endurance of approximately 10-12 hours, range of 150 km and payload of 60 kg. The conventional design phase is based on the employment of historical equations and experiences. The aerodynamic improvement process is related with rise in span efficiency by employement and comparison of different wing...
