This thesis analyzes the Land Command Control Information Exchange Data Model (LC2IEDM) of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and builds a conceptual data model for a Command Control Information System in the Battlespace, which is in compliance with the LC2IEDM. This thesis also develops a conceptual data modeling approach for Command Control Information Systems in the Battlespace. The model is verified with partial implementation in the scope of the thesis. The model is expected to integrate with the data models of other Command Control Information Systems to provide interoperability. Consequently, the time can be reduced, the commanders can access timely and accurate information for decision making.

A Control System Architecture for Control of Non-Affine in Control, Open-Loop Unstable Underactuated Systems
Marangoz, Alp; Kutay, Ali Türker (2017-07-25)
In this paper, a control system architecture for control of non-affine in control, open-loop unstable underactuated system is discussed. Passivization of the unactuated (internal) system dynamics achieved through perturbation of trajectories of the actuated states, which are calculated through adaptive dynamic inversion technique, based on Tikhonov's theorem. Performance of the controller is shown through simulation of two open-loop unstable and locally uncontrollable example problems.
Goal oriented modeling of situation awareness in a command and control system
Soğancı, Hasan Ali; Oğuztüzün, Mehmet Halit S.; Department of Computer Engineering (2010)
This thesis presents a preliminary goal oriented modeling of situation awareness in a command and control system. Tropos, an agent oriented software development methodology, has been used for modeling. Use of Tropos allows us to represent, at the knowledge level, the Command and Control actors along with their goals and interdependencies. Through refinement we aim to derive an architectural design for the Situation Awareness component of an Air Defense Command and Control system. This work suggests that goa...
Pan-European infrastructure for ocean and marine data management (SeaDataNet II)
Kıdeyş, Ahmet Erkan(2015-9-30)
The overall objective of the SeaDataNet II project is to upgrade the present SeaDataNet infrastructure into an operationally robust and state-of-the-art Pan-European infrastructure for providing up-to-date and high quality access to ocean and marine metadata, data and data products originating from data acquisition activities by all engaged coastal states, by setting, adopting and promoting common data management standards and by realising technical and semantic interoperability with other relevant data man...
Evaluation of multi target tracking algorithms in the presence of clutter
Güner, Onur; Kuzuoğlu, Mustafa; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2005)
This thesis describes the theoretical bases, implementation and testing of a multi target tracking approach in radar applications. The main concern in this thesis is the evaluation of the performance of tracking algorithms in the presence of false alarms due to clutter. Multi target tracking algorithms are composed of three main parts: track initiation, data association and estimation. Two methods are proposed for track initiation in this work. First one is the track score function followed by a threshold c...
A supporting programme for capacity building in the black sea region towards operational status of oceanographic services (ASCABOS)
Beşiktepe, Şükrü Turan(2008-11-31)
Communications, data and information exchange are the key elements of the operational ocean monitoring and forecasting networks, defined in the Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS). Development of observing and closely related operational forecasting syste m in the Black Sea region requires the exchange of significant data and information volumes. ASCABOS is designed to strengthen the communication system ensuring flexible and operative infrastructure for data and information exchange between partners and e...
