In the present work some hadronic properties of the scalar κ meson are studied. Using the QCD sum rules approach, which is a nonperturbative method, the mass and the overlap amplitude of this meson are calculated. As well as the mass and the overlap amplitude, κ → K^+π^− decay is also studied.
