In this MSc thesis, the refractory minerals that may be present in limonitic nickel laterite ores will be tried to be leached under the optimum conditions of high pressure and atmospheric acid leaching. The results of the different methods of leaching to be obtained will be compared in terms of the Ni and Co extractions.

As part of high temperature water gas shift reaction mechanism, CO adsorption and H2O adsorption on Fe3O4 (111) and chromium atom substituted Fe3O4 (111) slab surfaces are investigated by means of periodic DFT approach using VASP.
