The exclusive Lambda(b) Lambda l(+) l(-) decay in the general two Higgs doublet model

2005-05-01
The exclusive Lambda(b) -> Lambda l(+)l decay is analysed in the model III version of the two Higgs doublet model. We especially studied the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry of this process and investigated the sensitivity of these physical observable to the model parameters. We have found that they are highly sensitive to new physics and hence provide powerful probe of the SM.

The exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay with the fourth generation
Turan, Gürsevil (2005-05-01)
The exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay is analyzed in the fourth generation model. We studied the sensitivity of the physical observables such as the branching ratio and the forward-backward asymmetry of this process to the model parameters, namely, the mass of the fourth generation up-type quark t' and the fourth generation CKM matrix element V-t's*V-t'b by using two possible solutions of the latter and the experimental results on branching ratios for B-s -> X-s gamma and Bs -> X(c)l nu overbar. It...
Exclusive Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay in a two-Higgs-doublet model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (IOP Publishing, 2000-07-01)
Rare Lambda(b) --> Lambda l(+)l(-) decay is investigated within a framework of a general two-Higgs-doublet model, in which a new sourer of CP violation exists (model III). The polarization parameter, CP asymmetry and decay width are calculated. It is shown that CP asymmetry is a sensitive tool for establishing model III.
Forward-backward asymmetries in Lambda(b)->Lambda l(+)l(-) decay beyond the standard model
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (Elsevier BV, 2005-03-07)
We study the doubly-polarized lepton pair forward-backward asymmetries in Lambda(b) --> Lambdae(+)e(-) decay using a general, model independent form of the effective Hamiltonian. We present the general expression for nine doubly-polarized forward-backward asymmetries. It is observed that, the study of the forward-backward asymmetries of the doubly-polarized lepton pair is a very useful tool for establishing new physics beyond the standard model. Moreover, the con-elation between forward-backward asymmetry a...
Measurement of Lambda(+)(c) production in neutrino charged-current interactions
Kayis-Topaksu, A; et. al. (Elsevier BV, 2003-03-01)
A measurement of Lambda(c)(+) production in neutrino nucleon charged-current interactions is presented. In a subsample of about 50 000 interactions located in the emulsion target of the CHORUS detector, exposed to the wide band neutrino beam of the CERN SPS, candidates for decays of short-lived particles were identified using new automatic scanning systems and later confirmed through visual inspection. Criteria based on the flight length allowed a statistical separation among the different charm species thu...
Measurement of the t(t)over-bar production cross section in the dilepton channel in pp collisions at root s=8 TeV
Chatrchyan, S.; et. al. (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2014-02-01)
The top-antitop quark (t (t) over bar) production cross section is measured in proton-proton collisions at root s = 8 TeV with the CMS experiment at the LHC, using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.3 fb(-1). The measurement is performed by analysing events with a pair of electrons or muons, or one electron and one muon, and at least two jets, one of which is identified as originating from hadronisation of a bottom quark. The measured cross section is 239 +/- 2 (stat.) +/- 11 (syst...
