The present study is about design and development of eye tracker-based eye training games. The aim of these games is to help students with low vision to improve their vision capabilities. The games are played with user's eye movements and the games response accordingly. This study consists of iterative and incremental development process of the eye movement games and single subject design research by using the final product with a participant. As a result, findings from single-subject design research and design principles ofeye movement games for students with low vision are presented for assisting to enhance their vision abilities.

One group pretest-posttest design was used. Two measuring instruments were utilized: Spatial Ability ...
Eye Tracker Based Eye Training System for Children with Low Vision Effectiveness and Usability
Çağıltay, Kürşat; Çiçek, Filiz (null; 2015-04-20)
This study implemented and tested a unique eye tracker-based computer game as training material for children with low vision in order to enhance their vision abilities. For the study, an eye tracker based eye training application for people with low vision was developed. It is a game that participant’s eyes follow the stimulus appearing on the screen. The training program was conducted for 3 weeks within 6 weeks period. The data gathered by single-subject research design methodology from an 8 years...
Assessing internationality of scholarly journals through foreign authorship patterns: the case of major journals in information science, and scientometrics
Uzun, A (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2004-01-01)
This article reports findings from a study of patterns of foreign authorship of articles, and international composition of journal editorial boards in five leading journals in the field of information science, and scientometrics. The study covers an American journal and four European journals. Bibliographic data about foreign authors and their national affiliation from five selected years of publication were analyzed for all journals. The foreign input of articles were extremely high in Information Processi...
Effective feature reduction for link prediction in location-based social networks
Bayrak, Ahmet Engin; Polat, Faruk (SAGE Publications, 2019-10-01)
In this study, we investigated feature-based approaches for improving the link prediction performance for location-based social networks (LBSNs) and analysed their performances. We developed new features based on time, common friend detail and place category information of check-in data in order to make use of information in the data which cannot be utilised by the existing features from the literature. We proposed a feature selection method to determine a feature subset that enhances the prediction perform...
