This mixed methods research study aimed to explain and understand user acceptance of an electronic performance support system (EPSS) designed for the Crime Scene Investigation and Identifi cation Units of the Turkish National Police. Quantitative data were collected from 209 police officers through a questionnaire to test relationships hypothesized in the technology acceptance model. At the same time, qualitative data were collected through interviews with 15 police officers to acquire an in-depth understanding of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use of the system. This study showed that perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude toward using were significant determinants of the acceptance of the EPSS. The findings also presented several user personal, system, and organizational characteristics that were considered as influencing factors for usefulness and ease of use of the EPSS.

Evaluating an electronic performance support system for crime scene investigation units in Turkey
Yakin, Ilker; Yıldırım, İbrahim Soner (2016-09-01)
The primary goal of this study was to present the summative evaluation findings of an initial implementation to investigate the impact, effectiveness and perceived benefits of the Electronic Performance Support System (EPSS) on the performance of Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) officers in Turkey. FIŞILOĞLU, HÜROL; Demir, Ayhan Gürbüz (2000-01-01)
The study investigates the reliability and validity of the Turkish Dyadic Adjustment Scale (DAS). Scores of the DAS were studied for its reliability and validity. The sample consisted of 264 married individuals. The alpha coefficient for the DAS was .92. Computed split-half reliability coefficient was .86. The DAS correlated .82 with the Locke-Wallace Marital Adjustment Test. The original factor structure of the DAS was replicated in the present study. In general, the data indicated that the DAS provides a ...
CAUSAL ATTRIBUTIONS FOR ILLNESS AMONG TURKISH PSYCHIATRIC OUT-PATIENTS AND DIFFERENCES BETWEEN DIAGNOSTIC GROUPS
Karancı, Ayşe Nuray (1993-11-01)
Causal attributions of 152 Turkish non-psychotic psychiatric out-patients for the development of their psychological problems were examined by using a 31-item attributions for psychological problems questionnaire (APP). The factor analysis of the responses to the APP yielded seven factors, which were: attributions to conflicts within the family of origin and with the present family, attributions to personal-characterological and behavioural attributes, work problems, interpersonal conflicts and bad luck. Ex...
A systematic review of technology acceptance model in e-learning context
Alkis, Nurcan; Coskunçay, Duygu Findik; Özkan Yıldırım, Sevgi (2014-09-10)
In this study, a systematic review was performed to identify the factors that affect adoption of e-learning systems by end-users. There are different studies in literature that examine factors affecting end-users’ e-learning acceptance and adoption. However any single study has not examined existing literature systematically in this context. This systematic review will be helpful to the people who are interested in e-learning and its adoption by providing effective factors in the literature which strongly i...
