The effects of the first- and the second-order core polarization on the elastic magnetic form factors of N-15 and O-17 are investigated using the perturbation theory based on the harmonic-oscillator shell model, in which for the matrix elements of the two-nucleon interaction the Sussex matrix elements are employed. The core polarization reduces the single-particle value of M3 part of the form factor of O-17, however the reduction of the form factor of N-15 does not lead to an improved agreement with experiment.

Interacting quantum topologies and the quantum Hall effect
Balachandran, A. P.; Gupta, Kumar S.; Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2008-04-10)
The algebra of observables of planar electrons subject to a constant background magnetic field B is given by A(theta)(R-2) circle times A(theta)(R-2) (theta = -4/eB), the product of two mutually commuting Moyal algebras. It describes the free Hamiltonian and the guiding center coordinates. We argue that A(theta)(R-2) itself furnishes a representation space for the actions of these two Moyal algebras, and suggest physical arguments for this choice of the representation space. We give the proper setup to coup...
SENSITIVITY OF THE STOKES PARAMETERS IN THE DECAY B-]S-GAMMA-G TO THE MODEL OF FCNC
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; TURAN, G (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 1995-01-01)
We calculated the Stokes parameters which characterize the polarization properties of the photons produced in the decay b-->s gamma g in the framework of the Standard Model (SM) and Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM). It is shown that the Stokes parameter xi 3, which defines the linear photon polarization with a polarization vector in the decay plane, is very sensitive to the parameters of the above-mentioned models. The predicted values of xi(3) are large enough (in some cases it achieves the maximum possible ...
Bound energy masses of mesons containing the fourth generation and iso-singlet quarks
Ikhdair, Sameer M.; Sever, Ramazan (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2006-04-20)
The fourth Standard Model (SM) family quarks and weak iso-singlet quarks predicted by E-6 GUT are considered. The spin-average of the pseudoscalar eta(4)(n(1)S(0)) and vector psi(4)(n(3)S(1)) quarkonium binding masses of the new mesons formed by the fourth Standard Model (SM) family and iso-singlet E-6 with their mixings to ordinary quarks are investigated. Further, the fine and hyperfine mass splittings of the these states are also calculated. We solved the Schrodinger equation with logarithmic-and Martin ...
Mass spectra of heavy quarkonia and B-c decay constant for static scalar-vector interactions with relativistic kinematics
Ikhdair, SM; Sever, Ramazan (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2005-11-10)
We reproduce masses of the self-conjugate and non-self-conjugate mesons in the context of the spinless Salpeter equation taking into account the relativistic kinematics and the quark spins. The hyperfine splittings for the 2S charmonium and IS bottomonium are also calculated. Further, the pseudoscalar and vector decay constants of the Be meson and the unperturbed radial wave function at the origin are also calculated. We have obtained a local equation with a complete relativistic corrections to a class of t...
Nondipolar effects in the photoionization dynamics of carbon tetrafluoride
Toffolı, Danıele; Decleva, Piero (American Physical Society (APS), 2008-12-01)
The linear combination of atomic orbitals approach to the calculation of the molecular continuum spectrum with B-spline basis functions has been applied to the calculation of the first-order nondipolar corrections to the photoelectron angular distributions from carbon tetrafluoride. Dipolar and nondipolar asymmetry parameter profiles have been calculated for every single-particle orbital ionization. A comparison with the available experimental data gives good agreement for the dipolar asymmetry parameter. N...
