The Cognitive, Emotional and Behavioral Indicators of Dispositional Gratitude in Close Friendship: The Case of Turkey
Erdugan, Canan (2019-01-01)
The aim of the current study is to investigate whether the perception of the value, cost and sincerity of a best friend's helping behaviors, the gratitude felt toward the best friend and general gratitude expression differ according to dispositional gratitude and gender. Moreover, situations in which people felt gratitude toward their best friends and their means of expressing gratitude were investigated. A total of 406 people, 230 female and 176 male, participated in this study. Gratitude, Resentment and A...
NON-EUCLIDEAN VECTOR PRODUCT FOR NEURAL NETWORKS

We present a non-Euclidean vector product for artificial neural networks. The vector product operator does not require any multiplications while providing correlation information between two vectors. Ordinary neurons require inner product of two vectors. We propose a class of neural networks with the universal approximation property over the space of Lebesgue integrable functions based on the proposed non-Euclidean vector product. In this new network, the "product" of two real numbers is defined as the sum ...
Differential - Operator solutions for complex partial differential equations
Celebi, O; Sengul, S (1998-07-10)
The solutions of complex partial differential equations of order four are obtained by using polynomial differential operators. A correspondence principle is also derived for the solutions of two different differential equations, imposing conditions on the coefficients.
ON OPERATORS OF STRONG TYPE B
Alpay, Safak (2012-10-01)
We discuss operators of strong type B between a Banach lattice and a Banach space and give necessary and sufficient conditions for this class of operators to coincide with weakly compact operators.
A sociological profile of street children in ankara
Pehlivanlı, Ezgi; Mutlu, Kayhan; Department of Sociology (2008)
This thesis draws a profile of children who work/ live on the streets of Ankara relying on children’s life histories and social workers’ opinions about the situation in the context of Social Exclusion. Social is a new concept, was first used in 1960’s around Europe in order to define the groups, who are faced to material and socio-cultural deprivation due to the difficulties experienced by the Welfare States. This study assumes that street children can be explained in the context of social exclusion. Employ...
