We propose a new random choice model that extends the Luce rule such that the agents first categorize, and then choose by using category contingent Luce weights. In our analysis, we show that the category-oriented Luce rules are the only random choice functions (RCFs) that satisfy weak regularity and weak odds supermodularity.

A QCD Sum Rules Approach to Mixing of Hadrons
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ (2010-06-24)
A method for the calculation of the hadronic mixing angles using QCD sum rules is proposed. This method is then applied to predict the mixing angle between the heavy cascade hyperons Xi(Q) and Xi'Q where Q = c or Q = b. It is obtained the theta(b) = 6.4 degrees +/- 1.8 degrees and theta(c) = 5.5 degrees +/- 1.8 degrees.
Generalized chillingworth classes on subsurface torelli groups
Ünlü Eroğlu, Hatice; Korkmaz, Mustafa; Department of Mathematics (2018)
The Torelli group is the subgroup of the mapping class group that acts trivially on homology. Putman's subsurface Torelli groups are an important construction for working with the Torelli group, as they restore the functoriality essential for the inductive arguments on which mapping class group arguments are invariably based. The other important structure on the Torelli group is the Johnson homomorphism. The contraction of the image of the Johnson homomorphism is the Chillingworth class. In this thesis, a c...
Classification of function fields with class number three
BİLHAN, Mehpare; Buyruk, Dilek; Özbudak, Ferruh (2015-11-01)
We give the full list of all algebraic function fields over a finite field with class number three up to isomorphism. Our list consists of explicit equations of algebraic function fields which are mutually non-isomorphic over the full constant field.
Neutralino and chargino production in U(1)' at the LHC
Frank, Mariana; Selbuz, Levent; Turan, İsmail (2013-11-26)
We examine the production and decay modes of neutralinos and charginos in a softly-broken supersymmetric model with an extra Abelian symmetry U(1)'. We perform the study in a U(1)' model with a secluded sector, where the tension between the electroweak scale and developing a large enough mass for Z' is resolved by incorporating three additional SU(2) singlet fields into the model. Although the chargino sector is the same as in the MSSM, the neutralino sector of the model is very rich: five new fermion field...
Parameter Design Optimization of Products with an Ordinal Categorical Response Using Random Forests
Köksal, Gülser (null; 2018-11-01)
We propose an alternative method for finding optimal settings of product and process design parameters for the case of an ordinal categorical product/process response. The method utilizes Random Forests for modelling mean and variance of the response at a given set of parameter settings. The method uses different weighting strategies of Random Forest, and it is applied on three case problems. Results obtained are compared with those of previous studies that used the same data sets.
