The static and dynamic stereochemistry of cis-bis(eta(4)-1,3-butadiene)dicarbonyl-molybdenum(0)(1) and -tungsten(0)(2), as well as of cis-dicarbonyl-bis(eta(4)-1,3-cyclodexadiene)chromium(0)(3), -molybdenum(0)(4) and -tungsten(0)(5) was studied by IR and NMR spectroscopy. The complexes 1-5 show temperature-dependent NMR spectra, according to hindered ligand movements. In the case of 1, the crystal and molecular structure were determined by an X-ray diffraction analysis.

HINDERED LIGANDS IN TRANSITION-METAL COMPLEXES .39. SYNTHESIS AND DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF TETRACARBONYL-ETA-4-TRICYCLO[6.3.0.0(2.7)]UNDECA-3,5-DIENE METAL(0) COMPLEXES AND DICARBONYL-BIS-(ETA-4-TRICYCLO[6.3.0.0(2.7)]UNDECA-3,5-DIENE METAL(0) COMPLEXES OF THE ELEMENTS CHROMIUM, MOLYBDENUM AND TUNGSTEN
Özkar, Saim; KREITER, CG (Elsevier BV, 1992-05-01)
The hexacarbonyls of chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten react with tricyclo[6.3.0.0(2,7)]undeca-3,5-diene upon UV irradiation in a first step to tetracarbonyl-eta-4-tricyclo[6.3.0.0(2.7)]undeca-3,5-diene-chromium(0) (1), -molybdenum(0) (2) and -tungsten(0) (3). By longer irradiation, dicarbonyl-bis(eta-4-tricyclo[6.3.0.0(2.7)]undeca-3,5-diene)molybdenum(0) (4) and -tungsten(0) (5) are formed. The complexes were purified by chromatography and studied by IR, H-1, and C-13 NMR spectroscopy. The C-13 NMR signal...
A new and efficient chemoenzymatic route to both enantiomers of alpha '-acetoxy-alpha-methyl and gamma-hydroxy-alpha-methyl cyclic enones
Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı; Findik, H; Kose, E (Elsevier BV, 2004-03-08)
A chemoenzymatic synthesis of both enantiomers of the pharmacologically interesting alpha'-acetoxy-alpha-methyl and gamma-hydroxy-alpha-methyl cyclic enones starting from alpha-methyl-beta-methoxy cyclic enones is reported. Manganese(Ill) acetate-mediated acetoxylation followed by the enzyme-mediated hydrolysis of alpha'-acetoxy enone provides acetoxy enones 1a and 2a and hydroxy enones 1b and 2b with high enantiomeric excesses in good yields. The reduction of the acetoxy and hydroxy enones furnished both e...
Synthesis of novel norephedrine-based chiral ligands with multiple stereogenic centers and their application in enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to aldehyde and chalcone
Unaleroglu, C; Aydin, AE; Demir, Ayhan Sıtkı (Elsevier BV, 2006-03-06)
Novel norephedrine-based chiral ligands with multiple stereogenic centers were conveniently prepared from norephedrine and N-substituted pyrrole. These novel chiral ligands were used to catalyze the enantioselective addition of diethylzinc to aldehydes and to chalcone in high yields and with good to high enantioselectivities. The absolute configuration of products was found to be affected by the stereogenic centers on the norephedrine part of the novel chiral ligands.
Synthesis of beta-chloro-alpha-aminophosphonate derivatives via the regioselective ring opening of unactivated aziridine-2-phosphonates
Polat-Cakir, Sidika; BEKSULTANOVA, Nurzhan; Doğan, Özdemir (Informa UK Limited, 2018-12-02)
A series of unactivated racemic and chiral aziridine-2-phosphonates were synthesized by modified Gabriel-Cromwell reaction. Ring opening reaction of the synthesized phosphonates by gaseous HCl provided access to a wide range of biologically interesting novel beta-chloro-alpha-aminophosphonates. All reactions toward each of the above-mentioned products can be conducted regioselectively in high yields.
Optical and vibrational properties of nickel integrated germanium Zintl ion clusters
Ogun, Esra; Esentürk, Okan; Nalbant Esentürk, Emren (Elsevier BV, 2019-05-01)
Vibrational and optical properties of Ni-Ge clusters ([Ni2Ge9(PPh3)](2-), [Ni6Ge13(CO)(5)](4-)) have been investigated via UV-Vis, FTIR, and Fluorescence spectroscopies. Moreover, frequency and time-dependent (TD) electronic transition calculations have been performed to better characterize experimental findings, due to the scarcity of vibrational and optical spectroscopic studies on these type of clusters in the literature. UV-Vis spectroscopic analyses demonstrate a broad absorption band, with a maximum a...
