Üç boyutlu plastisite hasar malzeme modellerinin sayısal entegrasyonu

2006-06-26
In this paper, the numerical integration of a class of plastic-damage material models is presented. The nonlinear evolution equations of the material are solved through Newton-Raphson method with a sub-stepping strategy. The algorithmic consistent tangent matrix is formulated both in terms of the stress components in terms of the principal stress and strain components then transformed to the general reference system. In order to account for the plane stress conditions, the stress-strain relations of the 3d material model are then condensed out. This technique is extended to include the presence of applied pressure or transverse reinforcing steel for a 3d concrete material model. The proposed algorithms are tested with available experimental data.

Constructions of resilient boolean functions with maximum nonlinearity
Şahin, M. Özgür; Yücel, Melek D; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2005)
In this thesis, we work on the upper bound for nonlinearity of t-resilient Boolean functions given by Sarkar and Maitra, which is based on divisibility properties of spectral weights of resilient functions and study construction methods that achieve the upper bound. One of the construction methods, introduced by Maity and Johansson, starts with a bent function and complements some values of its truth table corresponding to a previously chosen set of inputs, S, which satisfies three criteria. In this thesis,...
System identification and control of a fixed wing aircraft by using flight data obtained from x-plane flight simulator
Çetin, Ender; Kutay, Ali Türker; Department of Aerospace Engineering (2018)
In this thesis, a linear state-space model of an aircraft is obtained by applying numerical integration system identification method. Flight test data used in the system identification is obtained by using X-Plane flight simulation program. In X-Plane Flight Simulator, the flight tests are made by using different excitations on the control surfaces. The linear models obtained by system identification are verified by applying the inputs to the linear model and then the outputs are compared with the X-Plane f...
Design and construction of reduced size planar spiral antenna in the 0.5-18 ghz frequency range
Yıldız, İnanç; Hızal, Altunkan; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2004)
In this thesis, theoretical and practical evaluation of usual spiral antenna is revised. Working principles of both types of planar spiral antennas as Equiangular and Archimedean are introduced. A predesigned microstrip tapered balun used for feeding section of a spiral antenna is simulated on Ansoft HFSS software. Successful simulation results are obtained and measurements of implemented balun structure are made by using an HP 8722 D vector network analyzer. Antenna measurement techniques used in this stud...
Hybrid wavelet-neural network models for time series data
Kılıç, Deniz Kenan; Uğur, Ömür; Department of Financial Mathematics (2021-3-3)
The thesis aims to combine wavelet theory with nonlinear models, particularly neural networks, to find an appropriate time series model structure. Data like financial time series are nonstationary, noisy, and chaotic. Therefore using wavelet analysis helps better modeling in the sense of both frequency and time. S&P500 (∧GSPC) and NASDAQ (∧ IXIC) data are divided into several components by using multiresolution analysis (MRA). Subsequently, each part is modeled by using a suitable neural network structure. ...
Radar propagation modelling using the split step parabolic equation method
Türkboyları, Alpaslan; Koç, Seyit Sencer; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2004)
This document describes radar propagation modelling using split step parabolic wave equation (PWE) method. A computer program using Fourier split-step (FSS) marching technique is developed for predicting the electromagnetic wave propagation in troposphere. The program allows specification of frequency, polarization, antenna radiation pattern, antenna altitude, elevation angle and terrain profile. Both staircase terrain modelling and conformal mapping are used to model the irregular terrain. Mixed Fourier tr...
