In this study, a morphing wing’s structural properties are examined under the aerodynamic loads. This study is conducted within the scope of the 7th Framework Programme of the European Comission project ‘CHANGE, Combined morpHing Assesment software usiNG flight Envelope data and mission based morphing prototype wing development’ (CHANGE, 2012). For the Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis ANSYS Fluent® 14.0 is used as a package program. For the Structural analysis, ANSYS Static Structural® 14.0 package program is used. The wing skin characteristics were obtained by ignoring the effects of the wing internal structure. During the study different skin thicknesses were also considered.
