SWASH sayısal modeli hidrostatik olmayan su yüzeyi hareketlerinin zamana bağlı benzetiminde kullanılan genel amaçlı ve açık kaynak kodlu bir sayısal modeldir. Son yıllarda ülkemizde de mühendislik uygulamalarında kullanılan bu modelin daha hassas ve güvenilir bir şekilde kullanılabilmesi için performansının değerlendirilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada SWASH sayısal modelinin düzenli dalgaların ilerleyişinin benzetimindeki performansı çözüm ağı büyüklüğü, çözüm zaman aralığı büyüklüğü, çözüm şemaları ve taban sürtünmesi yaklaşımına odaklanılarak, analitik çözümlerle yapılan istatistiksel karşılaştırmalar yardımıyla değerlendirilmektedir.
