Problem Durumu ve Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı, COVID-19 küresel salgını nedeniyle yüz yüze eğitimden çevrim içi eğitime geçen üniversite öğrencilerinin bu değişime ilişkin deneyimlerinin incelenmesi ve üniversite öğrencilerinin bu değişime karşı geliştirdikleri direncin kaynakları ile değişime dirençlerinin üstesinden gelme stratejilerinin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Yöntem: Bu çalışma, bir nitel araştırma yöntemi olan fenomenoloji (olgubilim) olarak tasarlanmıştır. Çalışmanın araştırma grubunu, Türkiye’deki iki devlet üniversitesinden 20 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak, araştırma soruları ve alanyazın göz önüne alınarak araştırmacılar tarafından bir görüşme formu geliştirilmiştir. Çalışmada elde edilen verilerin işlenmesi için içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Sonuçlar dört üst temaya işaret etmiştir: değişime yönelik deneyimler, değişime karşı direnç türü, değişime karşı direnç kaynakları ve değişime karşı direncin üstesinden gelme stratejileri. Üniversite öğrencileri, çevrimiçi eğitime geçiş sürecinde daha çok olumsuz deneyimlerini aktarmışlardır. Üniversite öğrencileri bu değişim sürecine karşı daha çok kör direnç geliştirmişlerdir. Üniversite öğrencileri, değişime karşı direnç kaynaklarını ihtiyaçları tehdit, rutinlerin bozulması, güç/etki kaybı, bilgi ve beceri eksikliği, kaynakların sınırlılığı, üniversitenin süreci yönetimi olarak aktarmıştır. Üniversite öğrencileri, değişime karşı direncin üstesinden gelmeleri için kullanılabilecek stratejileri ise şöyle listelemiştir: öğrencinin sürece katılımı, etkili iletişim, üniversiteden destek alma, çabaların takdir edilmesi, üniversitenin hazırbulunuşluğu ve baskı/ zorlamalar. İleriye Dönük Araştırma ve Uygulama için Öneriler: Küresel salgın ve felaketlerden bağımsız olarak, çevrim içi eğitimin entegre edildiği bir eğitim modelinin gelecekte yükseköğretimde daha fazla yer etmesi ve yükseköğretimi dönüştürme potansiyeli kaçınılmaz görünmektedir. Gelecekteki araştırmalarda, araştırma grubu yüksek lisans öğrencilerini de içine alacak şekilde genişletilebilir; diğer paydaşların (öğretim elemanları, üniversite yöneticileri vb.) deneyimlerini de eklemek daha bütüncül bir bakış açısı verebilir; farklı araştırma desenleri (karma desenler) ile bulgular zenginleştirilebilir.
