In this study, superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The synthesized nanoparticles were modified with aminopropyl-trimethoxysilane for dendrimer coating. Aminosilane-modified MNPs were coated with PAMAM dendrimer. Gene silencing effect of Survivin siRNA loaded nanoparticles (NPs) were studied on Doxorubicin resistant MCF-7 cell lines. Consequently, Survivin siRNA were triggered cell death when delivered by G4 PAMAM dendrimer coated magnetic nanoparticles. Survivin siRNA loaded G4 MNPs facilitate to overcome drug resistance on Doxorubicin resistant breast cancer cells.

PAMAM dendrimer-coated iron oxide nanoparticles: synthesis and characterization of different generations
Khodadust, Rouhollah; Unsoy, Gozde; Yalcin, Serap; Gunduz, Gungor; Gündüz, Ufuk (2013-03-01)
This study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of different generations (G(0)-G(7)) of polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer-coated magnetic nanoparticles (DcMNPs). In this study, superparamagnetic iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The synthesized nanoparticles were modified with aminopropyltrimethoxysilane for dendrimer coating. Aminosilane-modified MNPs were coated with PAMAM dendrimer. The characterization of synthesized nanoparticles was performed by X-ray diffra...
Zn doped CaP coatings used for controlling the degradation rate of MgCa1 alloy: In vitro anticorrosive properties, sterilization and bacteria/cell-material interactions
Schmidt, Jürgen; Pana, Iulian; Bystrova, Anna; Dinu, Mihaela; Dekhtyar, Yuri; Vitelaru, Catalin; Gorohovs, Marks; Marinescu, Ioana Maria; HURİ, PINAR; Tamay, Dilara Goksu; Juravlea, Gabriela Andreea; Buyuksungur, Senem; Parau, Anca Constantina; Hasırcı, Vasıf Nejat; Hasırcı, Nesrin; Vladescu, Alina (2023-02-01)
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of Zn doped CaP coatings prepared by micro-arc oxidation method, as a possible approach to control MgCa1 alloy degradation. All the prepared coatings comprised a calcium deficient CaP phase. The control in this evaluation was performed with undoped CaP coating in SBF solution at body temperature (37 ± 0.5⁰C). The investigation involved determination of microchemical, mechanical, morphological, properties along with anticorrosive, cytocompatibility and ...
Vanadium and molybdenum incorporated mcm-41 catalysts for selective oxidation of ethanol
Güçbilmez, Yeşim; Doğu, Timur; Department of Chemical Engineering (2005)
In this study, V-MCM-41, MCM-41 and Mo-MCM-41 catalysts were synthesized by the one-pot alkaline and acidic synthesis methods. The as-synthesized catalysts were found to have high BET surface areas (430-1450 m2/g), homogeneous pore size distributions (2-4 nm), good crystalline patterns and high metal loading levels (Metal/Si atomic ratio in the solid = 0.01-0.16) as determined by the characterization studies. MCM-41 and Mo-MCM-41 catalysts were highly active in the selective oxidation of ethanol with conver...
Synthesis and Stimuli-Responsive Properties of Metallo-Supramolecular Phosphazene Polymers Based on Terpyridine Metal Complexes
Sezer, Selda; KÖYTEPE, SÜLEYMAN; GÜLTEK, AHMET; SEÇKİN, TURGAY (2021-08-01)
In this study, terpyridine functionalized phosphazene based metallo-supramolecular polymers were synthesized by three step reaction method. In the first step, 4 '-(4-aminophenyl)-2,2 ':6 ',2 ''-terpyridine was synthesized with p-nitro benzaldehyde and 2-acetylpyridine. Then, the monomer containing six terpyridine (TPY) units attached to the phosphazene was prepared from 4 '-(4-aminophenyl)-2,2 ':6 ',2 ''-terpyridine and hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene by a condensation reaction. Finally, metallo-supramolecula...
Polyhydroxybutyrate-Coated Magnetic Nanoparticles for Doxorubicin Delivery: Cytotoxic Effect Against Doxorubicin-Resistant Breast Cancer Cell Line
Yalcin, Serap; Unsoy, Gozde; Mutlu, Pelin; Khodadust, Rouhollah; Gündüz, Ufuk (2014-11-01)
In this study, polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB)-coated magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) were prepared by coprecipitation of iron salts (Fe2+ and Fe3+) by ammonium hydroxide. Characterizations of PHB-coated MNPs were performed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, x-ray diffraction, dynamic light scattering, thermal gravimetric analysis, vibrating sample magnetometry, and transmission electron microscopy analyses. Doxorubicin was loaded onto PHB-MNPs, and the release efficiencies at different pHs were studied un...
