Modelling and Monte Carlo Simulation of Atomic Ordering Processes in Ni3Al Intermetallics

Modelling and transient analysis of a hybrid liquid desiccant cooling system
Karshenass, Arash; Yamalı, Cemal; Baker, Derek Keıth; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2014)
Desiccant Cooling Systems (DCS) are considered as an alternative method for conventional vapor compression cooling systems (VCCS) or at least a complimentary component to them. In conventional VCCS inlet air is cooled down to blow its dew point for dehumidification and then is reheated again to obtain air flow with desired temperature and humidity, and consequently inefficient consumption of energy. In DCS, dehumidification of air is done by utilizing of desiccant material to get desirable humidity and then...
Modelling and Monte Carlo simulation of the atomic ordering processes in Ni3Al intermetallics
Mehrabov, Amdulla; Akdeniz, Mahmut Vedat (IOP Publishing, 2007-03-01)
The evolution of atomic ordering processes in Ni3Al has been modelled by a Monte Carlo ( MC) simulation method combined with the electronic theory of alloys in pseudopotential approximation. The magnitudes of atomic ordering energies of atomic pairs in the Ni3Al system have been calculated by means of electronic theory in pseudopotential approximation up to the 4th coordination spheres and subsequently used as input data for MC simulation for more detailed analysis for the first time. The Bragg - Williams l...
Modelling and noise analysis of closed-loop capacitive sigma-delta mems accelerometer
Boğa, Biter; Külah, Haluk; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2009)
This thesis presents a detailed SIMULINK model for a conventional capacitive Σ-Δ accelerometer system consisting of a MEMS accelerometer, closed-loop readout electronics, and signal processing units (e.g. decimation filters). By using this model, it is possible to estimate the performance of the full accelerometer system including individual noise components, operation range, open loop sensitivity, scale factor, etc. The developed model has been verified through test results using a capacitive MEMS accelero...
