Ortaöğretim Öğrencilerinin ve matematik Öğretmen Adaylarının Olasılık Kavramları ile ilgili Başarılarının İncelenmesi

Bu çalışmanın amacı Ankara'da bulunan üç üniversitedeki Ortaöğretim Matematik Eğitimi Programlarındakayıtlı olan 4. sınıfmatematik öğretmen adaylarının olasılık başarısını, olasılığa ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarını einsiyete göre incelemektir. Hipotezler Mann-Whitney U testi veya Pearson korelasyonu kullanılarak test edilmiştir. Analizler sonucunda, matematik öğretmen adaylarının olasılık başarı ortalamaları arasında istatistikselolarak erkekler lehine anlamlı bir fark bulunmuş iken, matematik dersine yönelik tutumlarının ortalamaları arasında kızlar lehine bir fark bulunmuştur. Kız ve erkeklerin olasılığa yönelik tutumlarının ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir fark olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Kızların olasılık başarıları, olasılığa ve matematiğe yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmamıştır. Erkeklerin olasılık başarıları ile olasılığa yönelik tutumları arasında, olasılığa yönelik tutumları ve matematiğe yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuş iken bu kişilerin olasılık başarıları ve matematiğe yönelik tutumları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmamıştır. Öğretmen adaylarının öğretmen olduklarında öğrencilerine yanlış izlenim vermeleri önlendiğinde, bu kişilerin kız öğrencilerinin olasılık başarılarına, olasılık ve matematiğe yönelik tutumlarına olumlu katkıda bulunmaları sağlanabilir.
