The radiative B* and D* meson decays in the framework of the QCD sum rules
Iltan, Erhan Onur; Pak, Namık Kemal; Department of Physics (1994)
Properties of charmoniumlike states
Özşahin, Hikmet; Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Department of Physics (2015)
In this work, hadronic properties of exotic meson candidate Y (3940) and its orthogonal state are studied. These meson states are considered as a mixture of charmonium ( c0) and meson molecule. The interpolating quark currents for c0 and D D are used to construct the correlation function. QCD sum rules approach for two-point function is then used to derive OPE and phenomenological representation of the correlation function of these mesons. Next, these two representations are connected by the analytical co...
ATLAS measurements of the properties of jets for boosted particle searches
Aad, G.; et. al. (American Physical Society (APS), 2012-10-15)
Measurements are presented of the properties of high transverse momentum jets, produced in protonproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of √s = 7 TeV. The data correspond to an integrated luminosity of 35 pb1 and were collected with the ATLAS detector in 2010. Jet mass, width, eccentricity, planar flow and angularity are measured for jets reconstructed using the anti-kt algorithm with distance parameters R ¼ 0:6 and 1.0, with transverse momentum pT > 300 GeV and pseudorapidity jj < 2. The measure...
A QCD analysis of high energy neutrino-nucleon interactions
Gamsızkan, Halil; Serin, Meltem; Department of Physics (2003)
In this thesis, a leading-order QCD analysis of structure functions in neutrinonucleon interactions is performed. From the CCFR nucleon structure function data, the QCD parameter Lambda has been extracted. This measurement also corresponds to a measurement of the strong coupling constant. Two fits to the data have been performed, the nonsinglet-only fit and the singlet-nonsinglet combined fit. The result for Lambda was found to be 289 +62 Ł59 ʹ76 MeV, where the errors are statistical and systematical, respe...
The Sigma(0)Lambda transition magnetic moment in light cone QCD sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-09-20)
Using the general form of the Sigma (0) and Lambda currents, the Sigma (0)Lambda transition magnetic moment is calculated in framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. A comparison of our result on this quantity with the existing theoretical results and experimental data is presented.
