A New Method for Leakage Inductance Calculation of Transverse Flux Machines
Zafarani, Mohsen; Moallem, Mehdi; Ghadamyari, Mohammad Adib (2011-09-10)
This paper presents a new analytical method for leakage inductance calculation of transverse flux permanent magnet machines. In this method, leakage flux paths are predicted base on the finite element results, and then all paths would be modeled by flux tubes. Finally, the inductance of the machine would be obtained by calculation of the permeance of flux tubes. The validity of the proposed model is verified by comparing the Finite Element results with the results obtained from the proposed approach. Compar...

A New Voltammetric Method for the Determination of Lercanidipine in Biological Samples
Ozturk, Funda; Tasdemir, Ibrahim Hudai; Altunöz Erdoğan, Deniz; Erk, Nevin; Kilic, Esma (2011-01-01)
Electrochemical behavior and adsorption-diffusion properties of lercanidipine (LCN) on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) were investigated in a mixture of ethanol-Britton Robinson buffer (BR) using voltammetric methods. From experimental results LCN was found to be reduced irreversibly via a single four-electron process controlled mainly by diffusion with some adsorption contribution at about -0.65 V (vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode). Therefore, a new, accurate, rapid, selective and simple square-wave cathodi...
A new framework for simulation of heat treatments
Şimşir, Caner; Gür, Cemil Hakan (Inderscience Publishers, 2010-12-01)
In this study, a mathematical framework based on finite element method (FEM) capable of predicting temperature history, evolution of phases and internal stresses during thermal treatment of metals and alloys was developed. The model was integrated into the commercial FEA software MSC.Marc® by user subroutines. The accuracy of the model was verified by simulating the quenching of eccentrically drilled steel cylinders. Simulation results were justified via SEM observations and XRD residual stress measurements.
