The decay width, forward-backward asymmetry and lepton longitudinal and transversal polarization for the exclusive B --> K* l(+)l(-) decay in a two Higgs doublet model are computed. It is shown that all these quantities are very effective tools for establishing new physics. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science B.V.

Rare B->K*l(+)l(-) decay in light cone QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa; Özpineci, Altuğ (1997-10-01)
We investigate the transition form factors for the B-->K*l(+)l(-) (l = mu, tau) decay in light cone QCD. It is found that the light cone and three-point QCD sum rule analyses for some of the form factors for the decay B-->K*l(+)l(-) lead to absolutely different q(2) dependence. The invariant dilepton mass distributions for the B-->K*mu(+)mu(-) and B-->K*tau(+)tau(-) decays and final lepton longitudinal polarization asymmetry, which includes both short-and long-distance contributions, are also calculated.
Exclusive B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay in the three Higgs doublet model
Iltan, EO (2000-03-01)
We study the differential branching ratio and CP asymmetry for the exclusive decay B --> K*l(+)l(-) in the three Higgs doublet model with an additional global O(2) symmetry in the Higgs sector. We analyze the dilepton mass square q(2) dependency of these quantities. Further, we study the effect of a new parameter of the global symmetry in the Higgs sector on the differential branching ratio and CP asymmetry. We see that there exists an enhancement in the branching ratio and considerable CP violation for the...
Exclusive B -> K*l(+)l(-) decay with polarized K* and new physics effects
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Özpineci, Altuğ; Savcı, Mustafa (2001-06-28)
Using the most general, model independent effective Hamiltonian, the branching ratio of the B --> K* l(+)l(-) decay, when K* meson is longitudinally or transversally polarized, is presented. The dependence of the branching ratio on the new Wilson coefficients, when K* meson is polarized. is studied. It is observed that the branching ratio is very sensitive to the vector and tenser type interactions, which will be useful in search of new physics beyond the Standard Model.
Chaos from massive deformations of Yang-Mills matrix models
Başkan, K.; Kürkcüoğlu, Seçkin; Oktay, O.; Taşcı, Cankut (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2020-10-01)
We focus on an SU(N) Yang-Mills gauge theory in 0 + 1-dimensions with the same matrix content as the bosonic part of the BFSS matrix model, but with mass deformation terms breaking the global SO(9) symmetry of the latter to SO(5) x SO(3) x Z(2). Introducing an ansatz configuration involving fuzzy four and two spheres with collective time dependence, we examine the chaotic dynamics in a family of effective Lagrangians obtained by tracing over the aforementioned ansatz configurations at the matrix levels N = ...
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity J(PC)=2(--) mesons in QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa (2018-04-18)
Magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light and heavy tensor mesons are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules method. The results are compared with the positive parity counterparts of the corresponding tensor mesons. The results of the analysis show that the magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity light mesons are smaller compared to those of the positive parity mesons. Contrary to the light meson case, magnetic dipole moments of the negative parity heavy mesons are larger than the ...
