A series of fifteeen new 1-aryl-2,3,5-trimethylpyrazolium salts ([Ph(R)C(1)Pz][X], R: 4-Cl, 4-Br, 4-Me, 4-OMe, 4-NO2; methyl, X: methanesulfonate tetrafluoroborate [BF4-] and hexafluorophosphate [PF6-]) were synthesized and characterized. Thermal properties (Tm/T-g and Td) of all the salts were investigated, Five of the salts can be classed as ionic liquids since they are liquid at rate time or melt below 100 degrees C three of which are room temperature ionic liquids (RTILs). The influence of the substituents at the para position of the aryl ring was investigated by studying the changes in the melting points of the corresponding methanesulfonate, tetrafluoroborate, and hexafluorophosphate salts. The results demonstrate that the electron-withdrawing substituents tend to higher melting points than electron-donating substituents. Thermophysical properties (density, viscosity, and refractive index) of the room temperature ionic liquids were measured as a function of temperature. The electrochemical windows (EW) of all the salts were determined experimentally. The EW values of the salts were calculated theoretically to make a comparison with the experimentally determined EW values.

Electrochemical and optical properties of 5,6-bis(octyloxy)-2,1,3 benzooxadiazole containing low band gap polymers
Goker, Seza; Hizalan, Gonul; Udum, Yasemin Arslan; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Elsevier BV, 2014-05-01)
Benzooxadiazole containing three monomers; 5,6-bis(octyloxy)-4,7-bis(4-hexylthiophen-2-yl)-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (BOHT), 5,6-bis(octyloxy)-4,7-di-2-thienyl-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (BODT) and 5,6-bis(octyloxy)-4,7-bis(2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b][1,4]dioxin-5-yl)-2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (BODHT) were synthesized via Stille coupling reaction. Their electrochemical polymerizations were carried out on ITO coated glass slides in a three electrode system. Electrochemical, spectral and kinetic results were given in detail and...
Dual-type electrochromic devices based on conducting copolymers of thiophene-functionalized monomers
BULUT, U; Çırpan, Ali (Elsevier BV, 2005-01-03)
Dual polymer electrochromic devices (ECDs) composed of electrochemically deposited conducting copolymers of thiophene-functionalized monomers, 2-[(3-thienylcarbonyl)oxy] ethyl 3-thiophene carboxylate (TOET), 2,3-bis-[(3-thienylcarbonyl)oxy]propyl 3-thiophene carboxylate (TOPT), and 3-[(3-thienylcarbonyl)oxy]-2,2-bis-[(3-thienylcarbonyl)oxy]propyl 3-thiophene carboxylate (TOTPT), and polyethylene dioxythiophene (PEDOT) as the counter part were constructed with tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) dop...
Performance evaluation of InAs/GaSb superlattice photodetector grown on GaAs substrate using AlSb interfacial misfit array
Korkmaz, Melih; Arikan, Bulent; Suyolcu, Y. Eren; ASLAN, BÜLENT; SERİNCAN, UĞUR (IOP Publishing, 2018-03-01)
We report on the growth and opto-electronic characterization of type-II InAs/GaSb superlattice (SL) mid-wavelength infrared pin photodetector grown on a GaAs substrate. AlSb interfacial misfit array was employed at the GaAs buffer/GaSb epilayer interface to reduce the dislocation density of the SL structure grown on the lattice mismatched GaAs substrate. Optical and electrical performance of this sample (SL-GaAs) were then compared with the reference sample of the same structure grown on a GaSb substrate (S...
Thermal polymerization of bis(4-fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolato)bis(pyridine)copper(II) complex in solution and in solid state
Kisakurek, D; Akbas, M; Bilir, N (Wiley, 1998-02-01)
The synthesis of the bis(4-fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolato)bis(pyridine)copper(II) complex was achieved from aqueous solution, and its characterization was performed by means-of IR and CHN elemental analysis. Thermal polymerization of this complex was carried out in toluene and in solid state. The structural analysis of the polymers was performed with H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and FTIR analysis; the glass transition temperature was found to be at 160 degrees C. 4-Fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolate, with the non-chelating liga...

Yasa, Mustafa; Surmeli, Seher; DEPCİ, TOLGA; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Hacioglu, Serife Ozdemir (Wiley, 2020-03-01)
A quinoxaline (Qx) and benzodithiophene (BDT) comprising of random copolymers, namely poly(5-(6-(5-(4,8-bis((2-ethylhexyl)oxy)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b ']dithiophen-2-yl)-4-(2-ethylhexyl)thiophen-2-yl)-4,8-bis ((2-ethylhexyl)oxy)benzo[1,2-b:4,5-b ']dithiophen-2-yl)-2,3-bis(3,4-bis(octyloxy)phenyl)quinoxaline) (PQBT), is synthesized via Stille polycondensation reaction. To investigate the effect of the pi-bridge on the electrochromic properties, 3-(2-ethylhexyl) thiophene is incorporated the between Qx and BDT moiet...
