Construction of terahertz spectrometers and their use in characterization of conductivities and modulation behaviors of graphene layers /
Kaya, Emine; Esentürk, Okan; Department of Chemistry (2017)
Aim of this thesis was to construct two new terahertz spectrometers, THz Time Domain Spectroscopy (THz-TDS) and Time Resolved THz Spectroscopy (TRTS) for characterization of the static and dynamic properties of novel materials. After successful construction and signal optimization, system characterizations of both systems were completed with well-known samples. Possible use of ionic liquid doped graphene devices on PVC and PE substrates were characterized by THz-TDS. Devices operated at low voltages and pro...
Construction of electrochromic devices using thiophene based conducting polymers
COSKUN, YENER; Çırpan, Ali; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2007-01-01)
Dual type polymer electrochromic devices (ECDs) based on poly(terepthalic acid bis-(2-thiophen-3-yl-ethyl)ester) (PTATE), its copolymer with thiophene P(TATE-co-Th) and poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) have been constructed. Spectroelectrochemistry, switching ability and stability of the devices were investigated by UV-Vis Spectrophotometer and Cyclic voltammetry. These devices exhibit low switching voltages (between 0.0 V and +1.6 V), short switching times with reasonable switching stability under ...
Design of a slotted waveguide array antenna and its feed system
Top, Can Barış; Hızal, Altunkan; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2006)
Slotted waveguide array (SWGA) antennas find application in systems which require planarity, low profile, high power handling capabilities such as radars. In this thesis, a planar, low sidelobe, phased array antenna, capable of electronically beam scanning in E-plane is designed, manufactured and measured. In the design, slot characterization is done with HFSS and by measurements, and mutual coupling between slots are calculated analytically. A MATLAB code is developed for the synthesis of the SWGA antenna....
