Software development for man-machine interface for an industrial robot
Cengiz, Mahir Cihan; Kaftanoğlu, Bilgin; Department of Mechanical Engineering (2003)
In this study, a robotic software, which controls the robot, is developed. The robot considered is a six degree of freedom robot and it is designed and manufactured in METU. User can send the robot anywhere in space within its workspace, in any orientation. Forward and inverse kinamatics can be executed according to the needs. Simulation framework is embedded into the software for the 3D visualisation of the robot. Any movements can be simulated on the screen. Software also generates the path for the given ...
Software implementations of QoS scheduling algorithms for high speed networks /
Pehlivanlı, Aydın; Schmidt, Şenan Ece; Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (2015)
The end to end Quality of Service (QoS) support for the dominating multimedia traffic in the contemporary computer networks is achieved by implementing schedulers in the routers and deploying traffic shapers. To this end, realistic modeling and simulation of these components is essential for network performance evaluation. The first contribution of this thesis is the design and implementation of a C++ simulator QueST (Quality of Service simulaTor) for this task. QueST is a modular cycle accurate simulator w...
Software to analyze solar stills and an experimental study on the effects of the cover
Ghoneyem, A; Ileri, A (1997-12-01)
Four single-effect, basin type solar stills were designed, constructed and tested. Three stills had a glass cover of different thicknesses (3, 5, 6 mm) while the fourth cover was plastic. The still with the thinnest glass cover had shown the highest production rates, up by 15.5%. Empirical equations were obtained to express the dependency of the yield on the ambient temperature and solar radiation. Also, software was prepared to solve the governing equations numerically so that the effects of various parame...
Software development for analyzing fluid transients in pipelines
Habibi Topraghghaleh, Saber; Bozkuş, Zafer; Department of Civil Engineering (2020)
A computer program is developed to analyze and simulate fluid transients in hydraulic systems contributing to finding practical solutions for unsteady flow conditions in pipelines. This program is built up using C sharp programming language in the visual studio platform. In the software, the method of characteristics is used for solving the non-linear partial differential equations of the transient flow. This software’s primary purpose is to find quick solutions for a phenomenon called water hammer, which h...
