There are 3 alternatively spliced isoforms (transcripts). SNX3 is a member of the sorting nexin family. Members of this family generally have BAR domains and phosphoinositide binding regions called the phox (PX) domain, and are involved in intracellular trafficking. Unlike other sorting nexins, SNX3 does not contain a BAR domain. SNX3 protein interacts with phosphatidylinositol-3-phosphates, and is involved in protein trafficking through its role in the retromer complex.

Özgül, İbrahim; Erdem, Murat; Erson Bensan, Ayşe Elif (2019-01-01)
Heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (HNRNPA1) gene maps to chromosome 12, plus strand and has 13 exons and 12 introns. There are three reported transcripts due to the alternative splicing. HNRNPA1 is one of the most abundant and ubiquitously expressed nuclear proteins. HNRNPA1 is a member of RNA-binding protein family comprising of 20 members in humans (Dreyfuss, 1993; Pinol-Roma, Choi, Matunis, & Dreyfuss, 1988). HNRNPA1 has diverse roles in RNA splicing, telomere length maintenance, miRNA maturati...

© 2020 Atlas of Genetics and Cytogenetics in Oncology and Haematology.ERBB family member epidermal receptor tyrosine kinase (EGFR) is composed of 28 exons and 27 introns. EGFR codes for 11 transcripts and 8 of them are protein coding. EGFR is a transmembrane glycoprotein that can be activated by several different ligands such as epidermal growth factor (EGF), transforming growth factor-alpha (TGFA), heparin-binding EGF-like growth factor (HBEGF), betacellulin (BTC), amphiregulin (AREG), epiregulin (EREG), a...
Excitation Localization/Delocalization Isomerism in a Strongly Coupled Covalent Dimer of 1,3-Diphenylisobenzofuran
Schrauben, Joel N.; Akdağ, Akın; Wen, Jin; Havlas, Zdenek; Ryerson, Joseph L.; Smith, Millie B.; Michl, Josef; Johnson, Justin C. (American Chemical Society (ACS), 2016-05-26)
Two isomers of both the lowest excited singlet (S-1) and triplet (T-1) states of the directly para, para'-connected covalent dimer of the singlet-fission chromophore 1,3-diphenylisobenzofuran have been observed. In one isomer, excitation is delocalized over both halves of the dimer, and in the other, it is localized on one or the other half. For a covalent dimer in solution, such "excitation isomerism" is extremely rare. The vibrationally relaxed isomers do not interconvert, and their photophysical properti...
APOBEC3B expression in drug resistant MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines

APOBEC3B belongs to a protein family of cytidine deaminases that can insert mutations in DNA and RNA as a result of their ability to deaminate cytidine to uridine. It has been shown that APOBEC3B-catalysed deamination provides a chronic source of DNA damage in breast cancers. We investigated APOBEC3B expression in four drug resistant breast cancer cell lines (Doxorubicin, Etoposide, Paclitaxel and Docetaxel resistant MCF-7 cell lines) using a novel RNA in situ hybridization technology (RNAscope) and compare...
