New bis(phosphinoamine) and bis(phosphinite) derivatives of 2,2'-bipyridine were prepared through a single step reaction of 3,3'-diamino-2,2'-bipyridine or 3,3'-dihydroxy-2,2'-bipyridine with diphenylehlorophosphine, respectively. Their P = E chalcogenides (E = 0, S, Se) were also prepared. All the new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and NMR spectroscopies. The molecular structure of 3.3'-bis(diphenylthiophosphinite)-2,2'-bipyridine was elucidated by single-crystal X-ray crystallography.

Synthesis and characterization of new bis(diphenylphosphino)aniline ligands and their complexes: X-ray crystal structure of palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes, and application of palladium(II) complexes as pre-catalysts in Heck and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions
AYDEMİR, MURAT; DURAP, FEYYAZ; BAYSAL, AKIN; AKBA, OSMAN; Gumgum, Bahattin; Özkar, Saim; Yildirim, Leyla Tatar (Elsevier BV, 2009-08-05)
Two new bis(diphenylphosphino)isopropylphenylamines, (PPh(2))(2)N-C(6)H(4)-CH(CH(3))(2), having the isopropyl substituent at the carbon atom 2 (1) or 4 (2), were prepared by the aminolysis of chlorodiphenylphosphine with isopropyl substituted aniline at the ortho- or para-position, respectively, under anaerobic conditions. Oxidation of 1 and 2 with either aqueous hydrogen peroxide, elemental sulfur or grey selenium in thf gave the corresponding oxides, sulfides and selenides (Ph(2)P=E)(2)N-C(6)H(4)-CH(CH(3)...
Synthesis, characterization, crystal and molecular structure of diphenyloxophosphinoethylenediamines
Guemguem, Bahattin; Akba, Osman; Durap, Feyyaz; Yildirim, Leyla Tatar; Uelkue, Dincer; Özkar, Saim (2006-11-13)
Bis-, tris- and tetrakis(diphenyloxophosphino)ethylenediamine compounds can be synthesized starting with ethylenediamine and chlorodiphenylphosphine. Bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylenediamine and tris(diphenylphosphino)ethylenediamine are formed as intermediates and can be oxidized to the respective phosphine oxides by oxygen dissolved in the reaction solution, while tetrakis(diphenylphosphino)ethylenediamine is less liable to oxidation and its oxidation requires a stronger oxidizing agent such as hydrogen pero...
Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure of bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II): [Ni(acac)(2)(MeOH)(2)]
Metin, Oender; Yildirim, Leyla Tatar; Özkar, Saim (2007-09-01)
Bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II) was isolated as turquoise needle-like crystals by recrystallization of bis(acetylacetonato)nickel(II) from methanol solution and fully characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR, FT-IR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray structure analysis gives essentially a triclinic unit cell of bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II) containing one centrosymmetric molecule of the formula Ni[(O2C2H7)(2)(OHCH3)(2)], The Ni(II) ion is located at the inversion centr...
POLYMERIZATION OF BIS(TRICHLOROPHENOXO) ETHYLENEDIAMINE COPPER (II) COMPLEX BY ELECTRO-OXIDATION
Yiğit, S.; Kısakürek, D.; Türker, L; Toppare, Levent Kamil; Akbulut, Ural (Elsevier BV, 1989-02-01)
Electroinitiated polymerization of bis(trichlorophenoxo) ethylenediamine copper (II) complex was carried out in dimethyl-formamide at various anodic peak potentials of the complex. The oxidation and reduction peak potentials were determined by cyclic voltammetry. These potentials were measured in tetrabutylammonium fluoroborate-dimethylformamide supporting electrolyte-solvent couple at room temperature. Polymerization reactions were carried out under air and nitrogen atmospheres using a constant potential a...
SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTERIZATION OF POLY(DICHLOROPHENYLENE OXIDE)S THROUGH SOLID-STATE THERMAL-DECOMPOSITION OF BIS(PYRIDINE)BIS(TRICHLOROPHENOXO)COPPER(II) COMPLEXES
BASTURKMEN, M; KISAKUREK, D (Elsevier BV, 1993-01-01)
Thermal polymerization of bis(pyridine)bis(trichlorophenoxo)copper(II) was achieved in the solid state for the first time. The time and temperature effect on polymer molecular weight, percentage yield and the structure of polymer was first studied, at constant temperature and then for constant decomposition time. Polymers were characterized by i.r., H-1 n.m.r. and C-13 n.m.r. The molecular weights of the polymers were obtained by viscometric measurements at 30-degrees-C in toluene and glass transition tempe...
