Direct growth of type II InAs/GaSb superlattice MWIR photodetector on GaAs substrate
SERİNCAN, UĞUR; Arikan, Bulent; Senel, Onur (Elsevier BV, 2018-08-01)
We report on the direct growth and characterization of type-II InAs/GaSb superlattice (T2SL) MWIR photodetector structure grown on a GaAs substrate by molecular beam epitaxy. The designed photodetector structure contains 140 period of 8.0 ML InAs/8.3 ML GaSb p-i-n SL structure with a 50% cutoff wavelength of 3.78 pm. We achieved a peak specific detectivity (D*) and differential resistance area product at zero bias (R(0)A) of 1.3 x 10(12)cm Hz(1/2) W-1 and 10(4) Omega cm(2) at 80 K, respectively. The obtaine...
Immobilization of fluorescent bacterial bioreporter for arsenic detection
ELÇİN, EVRİM; Öktem, Hüseyin Avni (Springer Science and Business Media LLC, 2020-06-01)
Whole-cell bacterial biosensors hold great promise as a practical complementary approach for in-field detection of arsenic. Although there are various bacterial bioreporter systems for arsenic detection, fewer studies reported the immobilization of arsenic bioreporters. This study aimed at determining immobilization of specific bacterial bioreporter in agar and alginate biopolymers to measure level of arsenite and/or arsenate. To achieve sensitive detection, immobilization parameters of polymer concentratio...
Selective oxidation of H2S to elemental sulfur over Ce-V mixed oxide and CeO2 catalysts prepared by the complexation technique
Yasyerli, Sena; Dogu, Gulsen; Doğu, Timur (2006-09-30)
Selective oxidation of H2S to elemental sulfur was investigated in a fixed bed reactor using Ce-V mixed oxides and cerium oxide (CeO2) catalytic materials prepared by the complexation technique. The Ce-V mixed oxide with a V/Ce atomic ratio of one and with the CeVO4 crystal structure gave very high sulfur selectivity values (close to one) at almost complete conversion of H2S, for O-2/H2S mote ratios close to 0.5. Best operation temperature was found as 250 degrees C with this catalyst. CeO2 gave lower selec...
