Oxygen concentration cells employing zirconia-calcia solid electrolytes were used to measure the thermodynamic properties of SnO in SnO-TiO2 melts and to redetermine the properties of pure-SnO and SnO2. Deviations from ideality in the melts were interpreted in terms of the existence of orthotitanate anions.

Thermodynamic properties of 1 x MgCl2 xCaCl2 melts
Karakaya, İshak (1986-01-01)
An electrochemical formation cell was used to measure the partial molar thermodynamic properties of MgCl2 in {(1−x)MgCl2 + xCaCl2}(1). The results indicate that the melt is nearly ideal in the Raoultian (or Temkin) sense. A classical-thermodynamics analysis of the results was used to construct the T(x) phase diagram which was found to be in good agreement with the accepted diagram.
Thermodynamic Parameters of Cholesteric/Smectic A Transition in Cholesteric Myristate and Its Binary Mixture CM/PCPB
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (Pleiades Publishing Ltd, 2018-06-01)
Thermodynamic properties of the cholesteryl myristate (CM) and its binary mixture CM/PCPB (p-pentylphenyl-2-chloro-4(p-pentylbenzoyl)-benzoate) are studied at the concentrations of x (PCPB) = 0.052 and 0.219 as a function of temperature near the cholosteric/smectic A transition. By analyzing the observed molar volume from the literature, the temperature dependences of the thermal expansion, isothermal compressibility and the difference in the specific heat are calculated and, the Pippard relations are estab...
Thermoluminescence properties of Al doped ZnO nanoparticles
IŞIK, MEHMET; Hasanlı, Nızamı (Elsevier BV, 2018-08-15)
ZnO nanoparticles doped with aluminum (AZO nanoparticles) were investigated using low temperature thermoluminescence (TL) and structural characterization experiments. TL experiments were performed on AZO nanoparticles in the temperature range of 10-300 K. TL curve presented one intensive peak around 123 K and two overlapped peaks to intensive peak around 85 and 150 K for heating rate of 0.1 K/s. Curve fitting and initial rise methods were used to find the activation energies of associated trapping centers. ...
THERMODYNAMIC QUANTITIES AT HIGH PRESSURES IN THE i AND theta PHASES OF SOLID NITROGEN DEDUCED BY RAMAN FREQUENCY SHIFTS FOR THE INTERNAL MODES IN LITERATURE
Yurtseven, Hasan Hamit (World Scientific Pub Co Pte Lt, 2013-04-10)
The pressure dependence of the Raman frequencies of the internal modes is analyzed (T = 300 K) for the phases i and theta of solid nitrogen using the experimental data from the literature. Through the mode Gruneisen parameter, the isothermal compressibility kappa(T), thermal expansion alpha(p) and the specific heat C-p - C-v are calculated as a function of pressure using the Raman data in these phases.
THERMODYNAMIC PROPERTIES OF MGCL2-NACL MELTS FROM EMF-MEASUREMENTS
Karakaya, İshak (The Electrochemical Society, 1986-04-01)
A formation cell was used to study the thermodynamic properties associated with the formation of pure liquid and dissolved in binary melts. The data were used to infer the enthalpy and entropy of mixing. These measurements are shown to be consistent with the known phase diagram.
