A brief review of the literature showed that previous studies focused on effectiveness of different graphic designs as multimedia learning materials. In this study, relatively new graphic designs, namely, infographics and interactive timelines are compared according to their instructional effectiveness as multimedia learning materials. Ten graduate and eight undergraduate students participated to the current study. Retention test and eye tracking data are used for investigation. Eye tracking results showed that interactive timeline users spent more cognitive effort while reading, which was also reflected to the retention test results. All of the users gave more true answers to the interactive timeline questions.

Analysis of FCNC ΞqQ → Λql+l- decay in light-cone sum rules
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa; Bilmiş, Selçuk (2022-8-01)
© 2022 authors. Published by the American Physical Society. The weak decays of doubly heavy ΞQQ baryon induced by flavor changing b→d and c→u flavor changing neutral current within the light-cone sum rules are studied. The sum rules are constructed and analyzed for the corresponding transition form factors using the parallel components of the light-cone distribution amplitudes for ΛQ baryon. Having the results for the form factors, the corresponding branching ratios for ΞQQ→ΛQl+l- decays are estimated. While...
The mediator role of perceived social support in the relationship between difficulties in emotion regulation and suicide tendency
Demir, Berkan; Sümer, Zeynep (2022-01-01)
© 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Science+Business Media, LLC, part of Springer Nature. While literature maintained a strong association between emotion regulation skills and suicidal behavior, relatively less is known as to what extent this relationship goes through different dimensions of perceived social support. The purpose of the present study is to examine the possible mediator role of divergent aspects of perceived social support (family, friends, and significant other) in the...
How Serif and Sans Serif Typefaces Influence Reading on Screen An Eye Tracking Study
DOĞUSOY, BERRİN; ÇİÇEK, FİLİZ; Çağıltay, Kürşat (2016-07-22)
This study aims to investigate how serif and sans serif typefaces influence reading from screen. 10 graduate students voluntarily participated in the study. The data were collected in a laboratory setting. Participants were asked to find the misspelled words in two different texts written in serif and sans serif typeface. The participants tried to find the misspelled words in the texts, during the data collection there was no time limitation. Participants' eye movements were recorded by Tobii 1750 eye track...
Determination of the spectroscopic parameters of beauty-partners of Tcc from QCD
Alıyev, Tahmasıb; Savcı, Mustafa; Bilmiş, Selçuk (2022-04-01)
© 2022 authors. Published by the American Physical Society.Motivated by the recent discovery of a new tetraquark Tcc+ state with two charm quarks and two light quarks by LHCb Collaboration, we calculate the spectroscopic parameters; namely, the mass and residues of beauty partners of Tcc+ within QCD sum rules. The obtained results are compared with the predictions of different approaches in the literature.
The predictive relationship between self-efficacy levels of english teachers and language teaching methods İngilizce öğretmenlerinin öz yeterliklerinin, kullandıkları dil öğretim yöntemini yordayıcılığı
Kaygisiz, Semih; ANAGÜN, ŞENGÜL SAİME; Karahan, Engin (2018-01-01)
© 2018 Ani Publishing Ltd. All rights reserved.Purpose: Considering that self-efficacies of teachers can affect their educational and instructional applications, it is probable that self-efficacies of English teachers can predict the language teaching methods they employ. In this sense, the purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between self-efficacies of English teachers and language teaching methods they employ. Method: This study used quantitative correlational design. 367 English langua...
