Insights Into a Nationwide pdMOOC Portal
Çağıltay, Kürşat; Çelik, Berkan (Routledge, 2020-01-01)
This chapter contributes to the MOOC research community by revealing the insights into a Turkish professional development MOOC (pdMOOC) portal ( which has 100 courses prepared for professional development (PD). The aim of this chapter is to provide a deeper understanding of the sustainability of the pdMOOC portal, and portal registration trends. It also highlights pdMOOC user demographics, the most and the least popular pdMOOCs, completion rates for the most and least popular pdMOOCs, numb...

Insights into surface-adsorbate interactions in corrosion inhibition processes at the molecular level
ÖZCAN, MUZAFFER; Toffoli, Daniele; Toffoli, Hande; DEHRİ, İLYAS (2014-03-01)
2-((3-Methylpyridine-2-imino)methyl)phenol (MPIMP) was investigated as a potential corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 0.5 M HCI solution using impedance spectroscopy (IS). Changes in impedance parameters indicated that adsorption of MPIMP occurred on the mild steel surface. Three stable adsorption configurations for MPIMP on the Fe(11 0) surface were identified as a result of geometry optimization starting from several adsorption geometries using density functional theory (DFT). Involvement of the deloca...
