This study modeled the relations of attitudes towards technology use, technology ownership, technology competency, and experience to self-efficacy of technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK-S). The study also investigated inter-relations among attitudes towards technology use, technology ownership, technology competency, and experience The participants of the study were 665 elementary pre-service science teachers (467 Females, 198 Males) from 7 colleges. The proposed model designed based on educational technology literature was tested using structural equation modeling. The results indicated that technology competency and experience mediated the relation of technology ownership to TPACK- self efficacy. The direct relation of technology ownership to TPACK- self efficacy was insignificant while indirect relation through technology competency and experience was significant. This implies that simply having technology is not enough for higher TPACK- self efficacy, it is also vital to have adequate level of technology competency and experience. The results also showed there were significant direct effects of attitude towards technology use, technology competency, and experience on TPACK-self efficacy.

An engagement and motivation model for online learning technologies
BULUT, İBRAHİM HAKKI; Delialioğlu, Ömer (2022-12-01)
The aim of this study is to construct a technology model, named as Online Learning Technology Engagement Model (OLTEM), to enhance our understanding in the adoption of an online learning technology. The study suggests a model covering the theoretical background of underlying motivational processes for technology engagement of students. The sample of the study are 533 students from 4 public universities in Turkey. The constructed model is validated through confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) and structural eq...
Re-problematizing the contextualism-autonomy debate in architecture within the formal logic computational operations
Okten, Deniz; Mennan, Zeynep; Department of Architecture (2007)
Technological innovations in the field of information and communication have transformed the nature of the spatial realm. The spatial realm has been engaged with the virtual realm, where a new approach has been mandatory for a possible and productive interrelation between the two. On the other hand, new technologies have affected architectural drafting, representation, construction and most significantly architectural design to generate remarkable conveniences and unnoticed interfaces for architects. New te...

İşbirlikli Mimari Tasarım Eğitiminde Sanal Dünya Kullanımı
Gül, Leman Figen (Middle East Technical University, Faculty of Architecture, 2011)
