A New Voltammetric Method for the Determination of Lercanidipine in Biological Samples
Ozturk, Funda; Tasdemir, Ibrahim Hudai; Altunöz Erdoğan, Deniz; Erk, Nevin; Kilic, Esma (2011-01-01)
Electrochemical behavior and adsorption-diffusion properties of lercanidipine (LCN) on a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) were investigated in a mixture of ethanol-Britton Robinson buffer (BR) using voltammetric methods. From experimental results LCN was found to be reduced irreversibly via a single four-electron process controlled mainly by diffusion with some adsorption contribution at about -0.65 V (vs. Ag/AgCl reference electrode). Therefore, a new, accurate, rapid, selective and simple square-wave cathodi...
A New MEMS approach for spırometers
Habibiabad, Sahar; Serinağaoğlu Doğrusöz, Yeşim; Beyaz, Mustafa İlker; Department of Biomedical Engineering (2016)
Measurement of breathing parameters is necessary for a variety of applications ranging from respiration monitoring to breathing-related diseases. In this respect, spirometry is one of the most common techniques used for Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) patients to detect the type and extent of the lung malfunctions by monitoring the exhaled or inhaled air. The efforts in this work have been focused on the miniaturization of turbine-based spirometers using MEMS (Micro-electromechanical...
A new method for hydroxychloroquine detection
Ünal Taş, Dilek; Persil Çetinkol, Özgül; Department of Chemistry (2022-2-09)
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) possess unique physicochemical and optical properties. Their localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) signal depends on size, shape and composition of the nanoparticles and may change with the intermolecular interactions providing opportunity to design distinct detection platforms for ions, metabolites or drugs. Here, a facile, cost-effective, rapid colorimetric method based on the citrate capped AgNPs (Cit-AgNPs) was developed for hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) detection in aqueous...
A New method to increase effectiveness of base isolation on torsionally unrestrained structures
Alemdağ, Emren Can; Akyüz, Uğurhan; Department of Civil Engineering (2016)
The torsional behavior of the seismically isolated structures is one of the subjects that has been studied least. Especially, in the structures with first mode as torsional mode, i.e., torsionally coupled. In these type of structures, using conventional design method does not increase the torsional stiffness of the system and makes system weak in torsion when compared to other directions. This is not a desired situation in designing. Solving seismic isolation systems with lead-rubber bearings using the conv...
