Interaction of ADN with some group II and III elements

2016-11-01
Türker, Burhan Lemi
Ammonium dinitramide (ADN) has been studied quantum chemically at the level of UB3LYP/6-31++G(d,p) in order to get some information about its behavior in the presence of some group II and III elements (viz., Be, Mg, B and Al). The results indicate that Be and Mg are being oxidized by AND, but B and Al are not. In the case of Be and Mg, the reduction of ADN is accompanied by the removal of NO2 moiety which has negative total charge. On the other hand, the interaction pattern of these elements with dinitramic acid (HDN) in the presence of ammonia (HDN+NH3+element, ternary composites) is different than the isomeridisoelectronic binary (ADN+element) composites. Some quantum chemical properties of those binary and ternary composite systems are also presented.

Synthesis of boron and zirconium co-doped titanium dioxide nanopowders by the sol-gel technique /
Ağartan, Lütfi; Öztürk, Abdullah; Park, Jongee; Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (2014)
Effects of water/Ti precursor molar ratio (R ratio) and calcination regime on the photocatalytic properties of undoped, boron (B) doped, zirconium (Zr) doped, and B and Zr co-doped TiO2 powders synthesized by sol-gel process were researched. Undoped powders were synthesized for R ratio of 1, 3, 5, 10, 30, and 50 while doped and co-doped powders were synthesized for R ratio of 50. Undoped powders were calcined at 300, 400, and 500oC for 1, 2, and 3 h while doped and co-doped powders were calcined at 300 and ...
Synthesis and characterization of conducting copolymers of succinic acid bis-(4-pyrrol-1-yl-phenyl) ester and their electrochromic properties
Ertas, M; Çırpan, Ali; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Elsevier BV, 2004-05-07)
A new dipyrrolyl monomer was synthesized via the reaction between 4-pyrrol-1-yl phenol and butanedioyl dichloride. Electrochemical behavior of this monomer, succinic acid bis-(4-pyrrol-1-yl-phenyl) ester (SM) was studied. Homopolymerization was achieved by chemical and constant Current electrolysis methods. Copolymerization of SM with thiophene was performed by constant potential electrolysis in acetonitrile (AN)-tetrabutylammonium tetrafluoroborate (TBAFB) and dichloromethane (DCM)-TBAFB, solvent-electroly...
Evolution of magnetic and structural properties of TiO2 with Co-doping
Topal, Ugur; Ozkan, Husnu; Bakan, Halil I.; Cankur, Oktay; Topal, Kevser (Elsevier BV, 2008-03-15)
This paper presents the phase formations and magnetic properties of Co-doped TiO2 synthesized by the colloidal and ammonium nitrate melt techniques (ANMT). The phase formations and ferromagnetic properties were studied with XRD and SQUID magnetometry. Crystallization of the TiO2 rutile lattice was completed at 1000 degrees C and that was preserved during annealing up to 1300 degrees C. For the samples annealed at 1200 degrees C, elemental analysis has shown that the colloidal technique leads to a single-pha...
EFFECT OF ION ASSOCIATION ON THE PROPERTIES OF IONOMERS OBTAINED FROM METHYL-METHACRYLATE METHACRYLIC-ACID COPOLYMER
KOCAK, HI; ARAS, L (Elsevier BV, 1990-07-01)
The solution behaviour of Na, Ba, Zn and Al ionomers of methyl methacrylate-methacrylic acid copolymer (P(MMA-MAA)) with different ion contents has been studied by viscosity and dipole moment measurements. Two solvents with different character are chosen for viscosity measurements: dioxane (ε = 2.22) and acetone (ε = 20.7). The expected polyelectrolyte behaviour of the ionomers in acetone is reflected by the viscometric measurements. Mean squared dipole moment 〈μ2〉 values are calculated over a temperature r...
Interactions of tamoxifen with distearoyl phosphatidylcholine multilamellar vesicles: FTIR and DSC studies
Bilge, Duygu; ŞAHİN, İPEK; KAZANCI, NADİDE; Severcan, Feride (Elsevier BV, 2014-09-15)
Interactions of a non-steroidal antiestrogen drug, tamoxifen (TAM), with distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphatidylcholine (DSPC) multilamellar liposomes (MLVs) were investigated as a function of drug concentration (1-15 mol%) by using two noninvasive techniques, namely Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). FTIR spectroscopy results show that increasing TAM concentrations (except 1 mol%) increased the wavenumbers of the CH2 stretching modes, implying an disord...
