Bu çalışmada Türkiye’deki hastanelerin verimliliklerinin sahipliklerine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Hastanelerin verimlilik değerlendirilmesinde çoklu girdi ve çoklu çıktıyı analiz edebilen Veri Zarflama Analizi (VZA) yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Hastane girdi ve çıktılarının belirlenmesinde Türkiye’deki doktorlar ile bir ön çalışma yapılmıştır. Türkiye’deki hastane verimliliklerinin sahipliklerine göre anlamlı bir şekilde farklılaştığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca süper verimlilik (super-efficiency) analizleri kullanılarak verimli hastaneler arasındaki farklılıklar ortaya konmuştur.
