The syntheses of bis(trihalophenolato)di(pyridine) nickel(II) complexes were achieved in aqueous solution, and their characterizations were performed by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, and elemental analysis. The thermal polymerization of these complexes was studied in toluene solution in the presence of iodine. The effect of time, temperature, and amount of iodine added on the percentage conversion, structure of polymers, and intrinsic viscosity ([eta]) were investigated. Polymers were characterized by FTIR, H-1-NMR, and C-13-NMR spectroscopic analyses, glass-transition temperatures determined by differential thermal analysis, and [eta] values determined by the viscometric method. Synthesis and characterization of new bis(diphenylphosphino)aniline ligands and their complexes: X-ray crystal structure of palladium(II) and platinum(II) complexes, and application of palladium(II) complexes as pre-catalysts in Heck and Suzuki cross-coupling reactions
AYDEMİR, MURAT; DURAP, FEYYAZ; BAYSAL, AKIN; AKBA, OSMAN; Gumgum, Bahattin; Özkar, Saim; Yildirim, Leyla Tatar (Elsevier BV, 2009-08-05)
Two new bis(diphenylphosphino)isopropylphenylamines, (PPh(2))(2)N-C(6)H(4)-CH(CH(3))(2), having the isopropyl substituent at the carbon atom 2 (1) or 4 (2), were prepared by the aminolysis of chlorodiphenylphosphine with isopropyl substituted aniline at the ortho- or para-position, respectively, under anaerobic conditions. Oxidation of 1 and 2 with either aqueous hydrogen peroxide, elemental sulfur or grey selenium in thf gave the corresponding oxides, sulfides and selenides (Ph(2)P=E)(2)N-C(6)H(4)-CH(CH(3)...
Thermal polymerization of bis(4-fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolato)bis(pyridine)copper(II) complex in solution and in solid state
Kisakurek, D; Akbas, M; Bilir, N (Wiley, 1998-02-01)
The synthesis of the bis(4-fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolato)bis(pyridine)copper(II) complex was achieved from aqueous solution, and its characterization was performed by means-of IR and CHN elemental analysis. Thermal polymerization of this complex was carried out in toluene and in solid state. The structural analysis of the polymers was performed with H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and FTIR analysis; the glass transition temperature was found to be at 160 degrees C. 4-Fluoro-2,6-dibromophenolate, with the non-chelating liga...
ELECTROINITIATED POLYMERIZATION OF BIS(TRICHLOROPHENOXO)-TETRAMETHYLETHYLENE DIAMINE COPPER(II)
SACAK, M; Akbulut, Ural; KISAKUREK, D; TURKER, L; Toppare, Levent Kamil (Wiley, 1989-04-01)
Electroninitiated polymerization of bis(trichlorophenoxo)‐N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylene diamine copper(II) was achieved in acetonitrile at various peak potentials of the monomer. A constant potential approach was selected in polymerization reactions. Electrolyses were carried out under air, nitrogen, and oxygen atmospheres. Structural analyses of the polymers were done by 1H‐NMR and 13C‐NMR FT–IR spectroscopy. Molecular weights of the polymers were determined by vapor pressure (isopiestic) method.
Polymerization by bis(ethylxanthato)nickel(II) as an initiator. I. Polymerization of styrene oxide
Kayaturk, N; Usanmaz, A; Önal, Ahmet Muhtar (1999-01-01)
Bis(ethylxanthato)nickel(II) was identified by FTIR, DSC, MS and X-ray powder diffraction methods. It has a monoclinic structure with cell parameters of a=14.800(3)A, b=14.088(1)A, c=13.274(8)A; beta=101.13 degrees(8)degrees. It decomposes at above 170 degrees C. Styrene oxide was polymerized with bis(ethylxanthato)nickel(II) under air, nitrogen and vacuum conditions. The structure of the resulting polymers was determined by means of FTIR, C-13 NMR, X-ray diffraction, vapor pressure osmometer and DSC. Low m...
Synthesis, characterization and crystal structure of bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II): [Ni(acac)(2)(MeOH)(2)]
Metin, Oender; Yildirim, Leyla Tatar; Özkar, Saim (2007-09-01)
Bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II) was isolated as turquoise needle-like crystals by recrystallization of bis(acetylacetonato)nickel(II) from methanol solution and fully characterized by H-1 and C-13 NMR, FT-IR spectroscopy, and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The X-ray structure analysis gives essentially a triclinic unit cell of bis(acetylacetonato)dimethanolnickel(II) containing one centrosymmetric molecule of the formula Ni[(O2C2H7)(2)(OHCH3)(2)], The Ni(II) ion is located at the inversion centr...
