Low temperature thermally stimulated current measurements in N-implanted TlGaSeS layered single crystals
YILDIRIM, TACETTİN; Sulunhat, B.; Hasanlı, Nızamı (2015-06-01)
As-grown TlGaSeS crystals have been implanted by a ion implantation technique. The samples were bombarded at room temperature in the direction perpendicular to the layer by nitrogen ion beam of about 120 keV having dose of 1 x 10(16) ions/cm(2). The effect of N implantation and annealing at 300 degrees C was studied by using thermally stimulated current measurements. The measurements were performed in temperatures ranging from 10 K to 250 K. The experimental evidences were found for the presence of one shal...
Low temperature crystallization of amorphous silicon by gold nanoparticle
Karaman, M.; AYDIN, MURAT; Sedani, S. H.; ERTÜRK, KADİR; Turan, Raşit (Elsevier BV, 2013-08-01)
Single crystalline Si thin film fabricated on glass substrate by a process called Solid Phase Crystallization (SPC) is highly desirable for the development of high efficiency and low cost thin film solar cells. However, the use of ordinary soda lime glass requires process temperatures higher than 600 degrees C. Crystallization of Si film at around this temperature takes place in extremely long time exceeding 20 h in most cases. In order to reduce this long process time, new crystallization techniques such a...
Low level NO gas sensing properties of Cu doped ZnO thin films prepared by SILAR method
Corlu, T.; Karaduman, I.; Galioglu, S.; Akata Kurç, Burcu; YILDIRIM, MEMET ALİ; ATEŞ, AYTÜNÇ; ACAR, SELİM (2018-02-01)
We report the successful synthesis and characterization of Zn1-xCuxO (x = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20) thin films prepared by a simple and facile Successive Ionic Layer Adsorption and Reaction (SILAR) method. The nitrogen monoxide (NO) gas sensing properties of the Zn1-xCuxO sensors were studied systematically. The sensors were proved to have acceptable responses towards 20 ppb NO gas. Zn0.90Cu0.10O exhibited improved sensing performance at operating temperature of 55 degrees C compared to other samples. To impr...
Low dark current N structure superlattice MWIR photodetectors
Salihoglu, Omer; Muti, Abdullah; Turan, Raşit; ERGÜN, YÜKSEL; AYDINLI, ATİLLA (2014-05-08)
Commercially available read out integrated circuits (ROICs) require the FPA to have high dynamic resistance area product at zero bias (R(0)A) which is directly related to dark current of the detector. Dark current arises from bulk and surface contributions. Recent band structure engineering studies significantly suppressed the bulk contribution of the type-II superlattice infrared photodetectors (N structure, M structure, W structure). In this letter, we will present improved dark current results for unipol...
Low temperature aluminum doped zinc oxide thin film deposition on ultra-thin flexible glass and PET substrates by RF magnetron sputtering
Demircioglu, Zeynep; Ozkol, Engin; Nasser, Hisham; Turan, Raşit (2015-04-29)
Aluminum doped zinc oxide (AZO) thin films are prepared on ultra-thin flexible glass and flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates at room temperature by radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering. Optimization of films has been achieved by varying process parameters to reach the demands of proper conductive layer for thin silicon solar cell applications. Structural analysis of the films was done by X-ray diffraction spectroscopy. Optical and electrical properties of the films were carried out by ...
